They are very alike. They each have pros and cons and areas they are stronger in, but very comparable products. I am thinking about comparing the two if there is enough interest. We shall see!
This is not my area of expertise so do talk to your doctor, but I actually believe this may be great for you. From what I understand, type II is in a way a severe version of insulin resistance which in many cases in correctable. Doing things like losing weight, control blood glucose (overall, spikes, spike duration), and overall better diet can often reverse this.
