Ambulance Waits For Train! Abandoned Train Station Update! Hamilton Wye & Interlocking CSX Trains

- Big Train With Mid Train Locomotive ( DPU ) At The Hamilton Interlocking & Wye! Hamilton Fire Department On A Run Gets To Wait For Train At Gated Railroad Crossing By The Old Train Station. Hamilton depot update. 2 trains in a row pass the abandoned industrial buildings at the railroad crossing where gate runners are common. These 3 trains are in Hamilton, Ohio on the CSX line that is also shared by Norfolk Southern and Amtrak.
First train is a long one on the Indianapolis Sub. It is veering off the CSX mainline just south of the depot and heading west to Indiana. The Hamilton Fire Department was on an EMS run the same time that the train was passing. We see the progress on moving the depot. It appears that the middle section of the depot is not being saved. The rest of the station is boarded up.
Next we head north a few blocks to my favourite Hamilton railroad crossing. A Norfolk Southern train with a Union Pacific Railroad locomotive is waiting for a northbound CSX freight train to pass. Right after the CSX train passes, the NS train heads south. It had to wait for the CSX train because the NS train had to cross over to the track that the CSX train was on and then it veered off onto the Norfolk Southern mainline which is just out of sight. That was pretty cool getting to see two train passing right in a row.

Funny you mentioned dicey people. A couple of friends were filming Trains in and around Fresno Ca. 2 people brandishing Knives tried to Rob them unsuccessfully. Looks like the breezeway has been disassembled! The springs on them grain cars were compressed bigly. What's withh the WHY sign? The mean steets of Hamilton, Ohio.
I used to have a 4x8 n-scale layout. As of now I have began to sale all of the equipment. In fact just sold the centerpiece of my equipment a Sunset Limited brass N&W J Class with a 5 piece Con-Cor passenger car set to match.

Dad and I went to the Bengal's game last Sunday. I always like hearing and watching those heavy CSX trains working hard coming out of Queensgate, then going up the viaduct and over the C&O bridge into Kentucky. Good stuff!

I say that trying to move that station will make it fall apart but we will see... I still don't understand what's wrong with the station staying where it is and rehabbed there.

Thank you for capturing these CSX and Norfolk Southern trains in Hamilton, Ohio on 4 November 2022, Jaw Tooth! There were some exceedingly long trains going through Hamilton, Ohio on that day. I wonder why part of the Hamilton depot was removed and will not be moved to the new location. I wonder if the removed portion will be rebuilt with new construction at the new location so that the depot will look the same as it did in the old location.
Holy moly that second train was 183 car's pulled by one engine and that third was 178. Whew you pick some railroad monsters.

Are you going to check into when they plan to move the depot. If you could find out who the contractor is maybe he would pay you to document the prep and move. That would make a great stand alone video to catch them moving both sections. Would probably make several great videos if you included getting them ready to move. How far is Hamilton from your home?

After more than a year of an anticipated move of the old CSX train depot, it will finally happen.
Hamilton City Engineer Rich Engle said on Wednesday that Wolfe House & Building Movers had alerted their crews for an early December move. Officials will need to close a portion of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, likely from Pershing to High Street, “to make sure we have a safe travel path for the buildings,” he said.
The company will move the two main structures of the former train depot ― a one-story and a two-story building - that was once a stop for several U.S. presidents, including Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhauer, and both Roosevelts. Fascinating. Keep up the good work! Love way our videos!

I cudn't keep track of the other 2 trains that passed, but on the last train; in my head, I've counted up to 150 cars including the 3 locomotives that were pulling the cars = up to 153 al2g3tHa. If I'm not mistaken.

20:01-why is a UP locomotive working with the NS?
The lead locomotive is normally the company pulling the train, after that there is no telling what other companies locos you may see.

I wonder if the rail companies would hire a railfan. They probably wouldn't because they don't want to hire someone who loves trains. Maybe the railfan will start hating trains after a while and quit so he/she can get back to loving trains again. 🤔🤔 Top notch videos!!!

I remember my first model railroad set. I was only 8 years old and my folks got it for Christmas that year and set it up around the Christmas tree. It was a steam engine with five freight cars and a Santa Fe caboose.

I saw an interesting thing. The guy had a switcher that had a crew in side the cab. What he did was he cut the head off the engineer and put a servo on it. When the train went forward the head was facing forward. When the train went backwards the head would turn the other way.😅 Steven Sipes

That third train was a real long train, a lot of Canadian Pacific closed hoppers, also a five unit Gunderson stacker near the end, 👍👍

I moved the old depot in Duluth Ga. To the city park where it sits to this day 40 years later.

NS 4600 there one of the latest DC to AC conversions, in fact numerically the highest one to date
I like CSX uses yellow signs with black letters for speed , like we use white signs with black letters for speed on our Hwy's and streets. 15 on the spur to the left and 20 down the main in this video.

That first train was a long one with only one engine at the front & one DPU further down the line of railcars. Hopefully that ambulance wasn't too late.

Back when they first got rid of the caboose and started using FREDS, there was a limit on how many cars a train could haul. All that’s out the window since they now haul over 200 cars.
It is interesting to see how much we are sending by train.
maybe if you're lucky, up there around Ohio and Lake Ontario, you might see some Canadian National Locomotives, and if you're really lucky, you'll see one of the old Blue Devils thats a Blue CN Locomotive...very rare and very cool
