Playing priest on HC, partied up with a druid and he was just charging in like a madman. In a cave system. After a few very close calls I said hey, slow down or we're both dead.

trying to do the first few quests in the undead starting zone is a great achievement..took me an hour to kill 12 skeletons

There is no way pulling the only red mob at the back of the room is a smart idea. All the yellow mobs become hostile if you hit ONE dwarf
I've never played Wow but this season of mastery seems similar to OSRS's league modes, so I gave it a download and played a few hours this evening and its just gone down for maintinence, it was quite fun and some others helped me out with quests I was lost on, level 5 and going strong XD

I liked OSRS back when I was younger but it feels way too old for me now. WoW is old but it doesnt feel that way. Also group focused content is way more fun. always feel alone in OSRS
Nah, this is true. Partied up with a warrior in Durotar and he just ran straight into mobs. Aggroed like 5 at a time.

what people don't know about the brd pub is you can pull the yellow ones away with mugs of beer bought from the barman so you can seperate them. makes me laugh when they pull the whole room XD
The BRD group at @2:20. He was pulling that group for the dark coffer key, one of the places he can spawn. But really should have pulled him outside to where the fire elementals you have to kill to get in the bar. so you only get that corner, not all 3.
Those queen hive mind mobs in Ungoro followed me all the way to tanaris before I got someone in my guild to layer swap me to escape.

i play on an EU server and for some reason tons of people are complaining about asmongold ruining the server even tho were on EU
I just switched from Hardcore to Season of Discovery and there is a noticeable drop in skill. Hardcore makes people play better and get better at the game.
It’s not a skill thing, you just need to stop being so sweaty at each pull. If you die in discovery who gives a shit, just run back.
Well I think in hardcore you need to be sweaty. I don't play hardcore but like, if you're ever going to sweat it would be there. So yeah people aren't sweating in Season of Discovery, but the potential for people who can sweat is way lower compared to Hardcore.@@Adroyo

I'd disagree. Hardcore weeds out the weaker players, but it does favour a more conservative low-risk approach, because of the high cost of dying. To get better quickly, however, you need you try things out and fail.

@@Mas_zeppelin frost barrier+fire ward+mana shield til oom is a huge amount of absorption and slow fall can keep you out of the lava longer than other classes. blink also means you're better off baseline and iceblock to wait out the next round of cooldowns.
why do u call it roaching out even if the only option for everyoen is running? isnt it only being a roach if yhou abandon your team and they die for it?
At 03:54 since damage was badged in classic you could time and prevent lava damage by jumping. This is how ppl did emperor in classic
At 12:35 it was melee threat that got him. If you are in melee range of a creep your threat level is 30% more (I think that was the % not sure though)
I have no clue what season of discovery is, can someone share some information about this ? Is it startover for everyone ? On which extension are people playing ? Classic Era, burning crusade, wotlk ? Sorry, i'm not used to wow even though i enjoy the content.

Since bro below you was not helpful in anyway, SOD is classic with some class tweaks and some new areas with a dungeon turned raid and will be releasing in different phases. Right now the lvl cap is 25 so it's easier than ever to get into WOW!
Youd like it...if you have hc and classic you have discovery as well free...look in the realm tabs and give it a go...the runes are new skills and spells really cool ;) other new little stuff...its gna have fun pvp events

I think after getting settled into season of discovery I'm going back to hardcore. I've noticed the quality of gamer and people's personality increases with a filter that allows their machinations to remove them from the pool of people you interact with.
Editors are seasoning and roasting HC players.
The person saying that the AQ guy is only immune to physical, so there's no reason for the PHYSICAL DAMAGE DEALING characters to run away is the smartest twitch chatter.
Like yeah, you can kill it with casters, for sure, but there's still no reason for people who deal physical damage to be standing there either way, just run regardless and if it dies, all you wasted is the 2 seconds to run away.

If I played on hardcore, I would wait till those Horde players engaged the pvp quest mob and sabotage it by killing them. Not because I'm a bastard, but because that's the World of Warcraft that which you play.

Season of Recycling - Blizzard continues to follow their trademark business model of reskin , recycle and reuse . You can polish a turd , but at the end of the day , there is nothing new or creative about moving a few of the SAME spells around a few different classes . That isn't new or creative , it's lazy and cheap , hence why it fits your business model perfectly . Actually cringe how much attention this is getting considering what's being offered ... yikes .
This is an actual serious question. all add-ons for this game, and there isn’t an add-on to visually display a mobs aggro range on the ground? That seems like it would be very helpful for avoiding ever walking into a mobs aggro range when it can just be seen on the ground.
I don't think it's a simple "if you're in this cone, mob aggros." Like you can be on the edge and sometimes they aggro, sometimes they don't. It seems dynamic and rng-influenced.
There is an addon that tells you the range between you and a mob but that means need to know how it affects your character.
I think that would also ruin some elements of the game where everything becomes one giant math puzzle. But to each their own
Back in WotLK they did start making projected texture mods that display things on the ground directly but blizzard banned those and changed the API so they stopped working.
Haven't played classic WoW content since the original TBC, and I've been watching these clips having a blast making fun of people.
Started playing in SoD, and I've died 4 times from 1-15 💀 I have no right to laugh at these anymore.

Instead of stealthing to go near the warrior, he runs around like a headless chicken and being level 15 to the level 19-21 mobs in the area proximity aggroes like 4 mobs including the rare. After grabbing at least two more enemies that were nowhere NEAR the group he returns, hits one mob twice, passes the aggro to the healer, then runs and grabs even more respawns, then returns so the healer can grab aggro on them. He griefed and caused the death of at least the warrior, and possibly the paladin.
@@Jack_Rakan "passed aggro to the healer" do you not play wow? The healer and warrior caused their own deaths by playing poorly, the rogue pulled a couple extra mobs after he called out to run, but someone else counter called that and got them killed. Rogue didn't play well, but you must be new if you think he killed the warrior/pally.
@@janitorizamped I probably know more about the game than you do. The rogue is at fault because
1) When he was done looting he should have stealthed to go help the tank, not wander in like an idiot. Even if he didn't know the location of the mobs nearby, joining the fight stealthed is always better than not.
2) Rogue made the 1-sided decision to be an idiot roach and run out drawing more aggro when running is most of the time a bad call.
3) Instead of fully running and resetting the mobs he aggroed, he went back in knowing that at his level and without stealth he can do fuck-all of worth except make the pally take aggro for healing him.
4) The moron shouldn't have even been there in the first damn place with his entire minimap-wide aggro radius for being 4-5 levels below the aggresive mobs.
Did the paladin and warrior not make optimal plays? Absolutely. Warrior should have been more patient before pulling another pack, and Paladin should have left the rogue die when he returned with more enemies and hope they reset. But the Rogue is definitely the biggest cause of their deaths for always making the absolute worst decision possible, whether intentionally or not.

Do people actually visit a twitch channel when someone has ‘ttv’ in their name ? Like in multiple games I see players with ttv … does that work? for me, they stand out and make me for sure not want to ever check their channel.

So the first one where the raid lead was like "WHERES OUR FUCKING DAMAGE" well, that damage was all physical. Which that big add is immune to. So they should have ran out. 2 mages 2 warlocks in average gear probably not even p2 bis yet. 4 mages could have finished it tho. Warlocks just get fucked by resists and non crits on shadowbolts where as 4 mages can roll ignite atleast. Staying in was suicide.
In the first clip asmon is completely wrong, the strategy is to stay in and kill nades sappers ect caster kill its really not that hard unless the entire group is melee... we've never run out on those mobs. Raid leader made the right call dps failed.
They didn’t have enough casters and nobody knew he was immune to physical. Modern go-fast parsing sure you can, but in a one life game mode it’s unnecessary risk
Two mages and locks, 3 hunters ( arcane shot exists) is more than enough to finish off this execute phase...and I guess we just take unessesary risks twice a week and noone dies...every gdkp I can think of also runs like this so no the dps just failed miserably.
Asmon...... How about just putting your camera into the upper right corner where nothing really happens...... also you can make it a little smaller. That way we can actually see most of the actual information on the screen.

Damn I loved being a raid healer in the TBC and wotlk. Even when Pandaria kinda ruined the healing it was fun. I played all the way up to Legion on my Holy Priest and had an absolute blast, raid healed fairly casually but I got lots of praise, especially in a crisis where being Holy, Mending Light, Diving Hymn and that skill that boosts healing for X seconds... That shit should rack out insane numbers and bring a raid back from the brink and then you'd get the whispers "Nice save" and "Good healing bro". I miss those times.
