In ground-and-pound, there's a bit of a trade-off between control and damage. I'd say Khabib's style heavily weights control of opponents, smothering them and not allowing them space and time to escape or counter with submission attempts etc. The downside of this style is that Khabib's ground-and-pound is less damaging because he doesn't allow himself to posture up and generate maximal power with strikes on the ground, but instead uses short, less powerful punches for prolonged durations. Fedor's style is the opposite: low on control but high on damage. Fedor would frequently posture up or even go in and out of the guard, so while his opponents had more of a chance to escape or counter, they would also be more likely to take some brutal strikes on the ground. So Khabib's g&p is more death by a thousand cuts, while Fedor's is more like bombs raining down on you, lol.
I feel that has a lot to do with the weight class involved honestly. Khabib just can't generate the same amount of force and impact that a heavyweight like Fedor can in a top position. I'd probably say khabib is more technically skilled in his style, but them fuckin slabs of meat and bone for fists raining down on you, with 240lbs on top of it... I'd rather fight Khabib 😂

If Mayweather Would have fought Connor in the Octagon instead of the ring. He wouldn’t have lost. A lot of boxers no that MMA is a totally different beast. Boxing speed/power/Stamina/reach- MMA- speed/power/kicks/reach/grappling/wrestling/counters. It’s worse and harder then boxing. Way more to worry about

Not that he was a closet masked murderer or anything, but his blood pressure never elevated when fighting. He remained calm in a way that is just not normal in anyone but psychopaths. Of course 1-on1 Fedor prime wins 10/10, but only because he is so much bigger. Lbs for lbs, too close to call.
I would say that Fedor is a much better technical fighter in MMA, Sambo and Judo. It's just more closely geared to him. Both men have very similar backgrounds having fought in the army, Judo, Sambo, and MMA. Fedor however has achieved more and won more gold/tournaments in all three. Watch some of Fedor's seminars.
