Gees Dean I reckon I get more second hand stress from just watching videos like these, than you do actually doing all the work and figuring it all out, great skills mate.
Well Dean, following your channel a while now and you bring it always a bit further. I wished I knew so much to swap so easily an engine… you make it look so easy where I wouldn’t even know where to start😅 Very Well Done. Keep up👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Great work as always dean, really do enjoy your content, you necmver seem to get too stressed just a calm methodical approach find a problem and solve it them move on, great work
I remember 20 years ago, my brother had his Renault 19 F16 engine demolished and he went for a swap from a Clio with the "same" engine. It was a nightmare, the mounts were totally different and needed a lot of work to make it fit. I could imagine how things got even more complicated 20 years later, with all additional accessories
Hey Deano how the hell do you do this!! Even if the videos were 60-90mins long with full commentary I still don’t think I’d fully grasp the enormity of an engine build!! Well done mate 👍👍
You clearly like a challenge - that looked so complicated to me you could have been working on the Space shuttle!!😆You knowledge, skill and patience paid off - great to see it running by the end of the video - much credit to you.
Every video! Every video I look and think how the HELL is he going to sort that mess out? Dean and a pile of mismatched engine parts reminds me of The A Team making a Sherman tank out of 3 old dustbins, some gaffer tape and a set of pram wheels. I don’t know how but somehow they get it to fit together and work 😂
Hi, hoping someone has the answer but in the US (production was limited and Q&A’s aren’t common with the first gen 2.5 CEPAs/CEPBs). I’m thinking about the DAZA turbo route but my question would be is - is the downpipe different from the CEPA engine? What are power numbers expected in comparison to a TTE turbo?
Some advice I bought a Mercedes slk 230 compressor 197bhp I was wondering about upping the power should I go for the ECU remapping maybe also changing the Jets to 300s, or trying to make the compressor more powerful by changing the pulley I'm not looking for superpower 260 be fine. You wouldn't have a Hayes manual for one of them have you? Where's a good place to look online is there any manuals hopefully are free? Chance anybody
Original rsq3 were 310ps and the sport edition was 362 ps I believe Great video Dean no cracking under stress unless you edit it out? But keep up the content. Loving it
Congrats dean & all that time having the engine . Not knowing if it was a good runner or run at all .Bet that was a massive relief and what a bargain now it runs
Incredible all the different btw engine code. Even for the same car, same year, same power, from Europe to America some engine have different code !!! So it look the same but its not ! Cant wait to see if everthing gonna work under load !!! Well done this one was tought !
Nice its runs, why they make you have to put your foot on the brake to start a auto as if its going anywhere in park, thats why love the older ones just put the key in and turn
I was starting to get a headache just watching all the issues you’ve had! Fair play to you Dean. Fingers crossed its smooth sailing for you now as I would have well and truly thrown my toys out of the pram
Been watching your videos for a good while now. I've seen a few drawings me being from the states. I'm kinda pissed because if I were to enter a win. How would I get the car?
Hey Dean Audi used to be really reliable. How times have changed . Have to take the front end completely apart just to maintain and do engine swap Not a good look for the brand Still enjoy your content mate
Hi Dean 👋. YES, YES, I got my bloody tickets 🎟 for the Raffle on TIME for once. I'm so chuffed with myself, lol. I keep messing up, even though I only missed one raffle to be fair. Dean, you're a master mechanic. Well done for getting anything started on this complicated build 👏 👌. If you knew all the grief with it, would you have bothered bro. You are definitely earning your money 💰 with this one, Dean, I will pray for you. Wicked video again as always, bro. Remember, we love you over here in Ireland. 🙏 🫡 👌🇨🇮
DEAN YOU DONE A GOOD JOB THERE EVEN WITH BROKEN PARTS YOU SORT IT AND THEN YOU CAN GET RID DEAN AND SORT THE OTHER ONE OUT GOOD VIDEO BY THE WAY VERY WELL EXPLAINED
@@SavingSalvage Dean thanks pal for sending that link for the diagnostic topdon phoenix plus pro any way I went to order it and she's said not compatible with my car ford focus mk3 titanium x diesel how stupid is that 😊
Isn't the rs3 engine out of an A3 car but obviously called rs3 has 370hp or 400hp depending on the year . So the rsQ3 should be 370 or 400 hp now after the swop.
Gees Dean I reckon I get more second hand stress from just watching videos like these, than you do actually doing all the work and figuring it all out, great skills mate.
Haha 😂
I wish compete4cars was available in Ireland

Love the videos Dean. I’m in England and I’ve just tried to but tickets for the RS4. The site won’t accept payment. Tried Apple Pay and credit card.
Fair play to you Dean. Wasn’t as straight forward as we all thought. Well done mate.

Did the same thing on my golf gti with alternator but mine snapped when tightening, another lesson learnt. Great vid love the engine stuff.
I literally have the same RSQ3 PFL (8UB/8UG) in the garage atm also with engine and transmission issues, hopefully we both get ours sorted 💪
I remember 20 years ago, my brother had his Renault 19 F16 engine demolished and he went for a swap from a Clio with the "same" engine. As an old guy, who used to play about with Escorts in the 1980's, These things are so complicated, it makes my mind spin!
Me too, Cortinas, marinas and minis, did all my own work, couldn't work on this new stuff, bloody sensors everywhere
What a relief!!!! Well done.

Yeah it looks like the very last of the Gen 1 RSQ3 got the CZGB engine.
Brilliant channel, always enjoy your videos
Excellent work as usual Dean 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Not 310 BHP.. 310 PS, which is about the same when converted anyway (305 BHP)
Even worse then 🤣
Well done Dean, such a mechanic. 👍👍👍👍
They did fit the CZGA/CZGB engine to the RSQ3 in 2016 in a 340bhp and 367bhp (RSQ3performance) facelifts
Yes Dean , Brilliant outcome..Another great build 💯

Congrats dean & all that time having the engine . Not knowing if it was a good runner or run at all .Bet that was a massive relief and what a bargain now it runs
Imagine if you lost your memory right now. Your workshop would look like a breakers yard you wouldnt know where to start!
That was a lot of hard work and effort Dean, but really worth while ! 👍 Keep it going.
Incredible all the different btw engine code. Even for the same car, same year, same power, from Europe to America some engine have different code !!! So it look the same but its not ! Cant wait to see if everthing gonna work under load !!! Well done this one was tought !

More of Helen would be fun 😁
I need to get myself a T-shirt : we need more power ! Love this build, finally things go to plan.
Is the competeforcars UK only or is EU also possible?
Mad the amount of tinkering and different parts by Audi for what you’d expect to be the same engine.
Nice one mate 👍
Outstanding work as always Dean.. id of set fire to the lot by first 10 min in 😂😂
They are different in output since day 1 when RSQ3 launch. Although mechanical wise should be 99.999% identical if not 100%
The cut on the block was neat 😂 , well done ❤
Wow, job and a half there. Nicely done
Cracking result Dean, What's the Outro Song ?
Great skill Dean
