This was done on a test body, not for an actual guitar. I have done a few actual guitars though, and if it were for an actual guitar I would put more effort, money, and time into it. This was done with leftover supplies I had from previous projects. I wouldn't recommend doing this on an expensive guitar though, only on a cheaper guitar.
At first, I was like, "wtf? Masking off areas just to paint over them anyway? How is this 'space themed'?" Then, I waited 5 more seconds and realized I was witnessing a crazy amount of talent. Talent that I just didn't understand. Lol. Great work, friend. Truly great work.
Idk if you’ll even see this man but I just did some research for my painting project and found that it’s best not to sand down to raw wood from paint. It’s better to score the surface of the old paint job and paint over it. I may also suggest hanging so you can change the angle and distance it may help with the orange peel.
