Thank you for sharin' such great information Rose! This mama knows about blocked milk ducts and boy, it's painful. Your goats are very lucky to have such a good goat mama that recognizes situations like these. :)
I'm so glade I found your channel this episode is very helpful I have a doe I'm milking and am nervous about her developing mastitis. thank our lucky stars she hasn't
I would love to see the equipment to take the goats temperature and how to do it. I want to be ready when I get my goats. Thanks again Rose, you are a great teacher.
I remember when my son was nursing I had mastitis in the left side. Very painful and yes, I nursed him always on that side first. I can't imagine the poor goat going through it because it was very painful. I wish I had know about Vit-C back then.
Hi, I'm a new subscriber - love the clear and simple help with goats. Quick question - for Vit C at 5000 mg - is that 1x daily and for how long? Headed over to the playlist to get caught up. Thanks again.
Xlnt, what a coincidence, I've just bought a mastitis test kit and my goat's milk was slightly thick too. When you say vit C is that powder or liquid? I've just started Pat Colebys advise where her book says 1tablespoon each of vit C and dolomite lime. What do you think of that mix?
I use human vitamin c and grind it into powder and mix with liquid and drench it. I have never use dolomite lime. I have had that book in my shopping cart on amazon for a year lol. I have a couple of other goat books but they are about non natural treatments.
Need to get ALL this information into a book along with a few goat milk recipes and pictures of you kids, and of course the goats!

Very good described!
Thank you very much!
How do you administer the vitamin C? Thank you.
At what point do you go in and check position during labor. ?
Active labor contractions n pawing for 4 hours now.
If they begin pushing and have gone 30-45 minutes pushing, you should check position and give calcium if position is correct.
One successful goat birth today. Tiny little buckling. 😍😍
Very informative.
Thank you!
What should their internal temperature be?
102.5 to 103.5
