@@eriknulty6392 u should check out his other vid he did something very similar to this vid he actually did do it I think it’s in the link 10 shot rack he fast fuse it lit all 10 on 2 seconds was awesome
Interesting experiments, I always like these videos. Nice shells too! It's amazing how much difference pacing makes with the different fuse burn rates. It's all entertaining, but the wow factor definitely goes up with fuse speed.
I love this testing, thanks Cody! I am going to use my comet and mine consumer shells and use this method with my ignitors to time them better. I was cutting the lift charge open, sliding in the head and taping it back up. Then securing the wires around the rack nail head so that the wires didn't get pulled with the shell. Ill just slide my wire heads in and tape them to the tube. This will be much more efficient, thanks again Cody great video!
Regarding HDPE tubes: How far from the bottom did you drill the holes and how far apart are the two holes on each tube?.............................Thanks
Within the past 2 days or so I've started preparing my show, starting with fusing up my racks. Im using the direct fusing method like you show using a drill to make holes in the tubes so having a follow up video using ball shells and different fuse speeds definitely helps. Thanks cody!
I loved this. Very interesting. I was starting to experiment a little years ago, but nothing like this. I wish these videos were around in the 80's 90s . Nice job.
Great analysis give ur pyro friend a nice pat on his back. I'd say keep him around and put your brains together n rock it. You almost have an A rating let's get A+ + +>>>>>Onward
For the ball shells breaking low I'd try getting some 2fa black powder and adding a little extra lift charge to the tubes. With some experimentation you can figure out the correct amount to get the height you want.
Great idea and testing! I suggest you place a sleeve in the bottom of the tubes that maintains the density of the lift charge. It will also create a ledge for the shells to sit right on the charge.
Nice video Cody. It is rare that I need timing this precise on canister shells because when I do need that sort of thing I just use cakes. But the need does arise, for instance this year its tougher to find slices and sweeps and this is a way to create punctuation even when you don't have access to pro products.
That was stellar Cody also amazing fast fuse big daddy shells artwork is sick and those willows were perfect along with the bomba shells are amazing perfect timing and fusing plus angled was really interesting 🔥
Really appreciate this testing Cody! Wondering if a small sleeve put in the bottom of the tube would concentrate the lift charge more for those ball shell's.
@@CodyBPyrotechnics appreciate the honesty but you guys know more about fireworks than most. I used to work for phantom/galaxy fireworks and still pick up new things from you.
You could try using the longer tube with hopes that the longer length could result in more acceleration of the shell. Looks like there's quite some gap between the OD of the shell and the ID of the tube, so differences could be almost non-existent, but it might be worth experimenting I guess.
I would love to see you also break the cardboard cup at the bottom so it’s just the ball shell with time fuse. Then the ball and fuse would sit directly on the powder, with less space between shell and powder, creating more compression, possibly a better height that way🤷🏼♂️
That new intro is sickkkk!!!! Awesome man. Great video. Love the content. But why would you want to cut the bottom of the shells off ? Didn’t understand why or what the point of it was.
Hey Cody! Idk if you can find it but if you get the chance. Check out fancy freedom by Winda. Incredible 3 piece cake set. Total of a 108 shots. 2 fanned cakes and one straight up cake in the middle. Beautiful finale. Red white and blue with gold palms I believe.
so i been watching your vids for a while now and have a question...where is the nearest state to oregon to be able to purchase and set off aerial displays?
@@CodyBPyrotechnics thank you will be a couple years from now but planing to save up and travel and do a REALLY nice couple thousand dollar show with my husband to be
Couldn’t you use gorilla glue or does have to hot glue to glue the fuses ??? ok I like the way that rack look I would make a bunch for my hdpe tube if would was cheaper lol what size are those drill bit did he use for the wood
Are ball shells or canister better? And what do you think about Excalibur and the black cat neon Diablo? I just picked up a 24 of Excalibur and a six of the neon Diablo for $112. Is that a good deal?
What's the benefit of fusing a rack in this way? To make the rack proformance more like a cake? Vs the traditional way of running fuse across the top with zip ties? I guess faster detonation, but For ball shells I don't see much benefits due to the height loss. Especially for someone like me. Im a professionalpyro, but i do a lot of "budget" shows and fill finale racks with ball shells, i don't wanna give up any height... Eitherway Great experiments Cody, thanks for putting in the work, love the videos.
Well the only benefit we see out of this is to get continuous breaks as sometimes the leader fuse on regular canister/ball shell is inconsistent. So this way we eliminate the fuse all together, and avoid that problem. Other than that it’s really just our personal preference lol
Here’s the video I mentioned on how to get your canister shell racks to fire like a 500g cake every time: ruclips.net/video/bU_BPnz--Zg/видео.html
I made a video on this like 3 years ago
Surprised I haven't seen anybody else do it till now
i want to see every tube you have go off with that super fast fuse at the same time... FOR THAT SUPER FINALE!!! like a 100 shell finale LOL
@@Twiistedpyro I haven’t seen anyone do it until I met Garisson either. Just like you I cannot believe I didn’t think of this lol

dope vid bro you were right in the name of the video the breaks were perfected
yay upload!!!!
I was really waiting for u to post a video 😂
Cody B….living every kids dream.
Thank you for making this video. Nobody has a good video on fuse times and this was perfect!
Great video
It would be interesting if you did a "at what point will a hot glue gun ignite a fuse" video! Thanks for the content!
You need an open flame or an amber like a cigarette cherry
That was awesome! Those were some fun little experiments. When you two get together, you know it’s going to be one cool video.
The 1.25 fuse was epic! Great video
That is really cool awesome engineering on those
Some weird reason starting june 1 I start watching ur videos i watch like 10 every day rewatch and rewatch the ones i love your vids are amazing man
lovin the daily uploads! 🧨
Going back up to pa tomorrow to finish up my fireworks shopping picking a 10 tube rack. Can't wait to fuse up some canister shells. Thanks Cody.
Very expensive hobby and testing! I greatly appreciate the time and money y’all have put into these videos! Keep it up!

I just got my version 1 codyb jacket !! Perfect fit 😍😍😍😍😍😍
That was fascinating and educational, thank you for showing us 👍👍👍👍
Try doing the ball shells in DR9 tubes. The narrow gauge should do a better job of containing that loose lift charge. 🤞🤓💜
I was going to say the same thing. Should use dr9 for the ball shells anyway due to the shell width being smaller.

What state has the best rockets
Maybe try a thin cardboard plug when using the ball shells just to get a little better lift
what a fast paced on the ball shells on the racks(20s each)
Dope ass video
Do you have a video of Big Slick 5’ canisters?
Love all this science that im never going to replicate but its definitely entertaining! I'll leave it to the professionals 👍

any advice what to look for when looking for a firework store

That new intro is sickkkk!!!! Awesome man. Great video. Love the content. But why would you want to cut the bottom of the shells off ? Didn’t understand why or what the point of it was.
Guessing they won't launch if the fuse isn't in contact with lift charge.
How many shots roughly can you run threw the fiberglass mortars before you need to change them
So can you just buy canister shells without tube sets
All canister shell kits come with 4 HDPE or fiberglass tubes
I know was just wondering a cheaper way
You can with 1.4pro shells . They are all 60 gram shells still but at least you can buy them bulk without the tubes and extra packaging.
Interesting tests.. Still waiting for you to test the master's shells..
Look up “M100 CodyBPyrotechnics” I do have a vid on em
Have you heard of the rain god firework? 25 shot rocket cake?

I’m not sure as he is the one that drilled them out, but it would be just a tad bit larger than green visco so the fuses slide in easily
What track is that?
You might need tighter tolerance, there might be to much pressure escaping around the shell.
Precisely what’s happening. I made a suggestion to solve this.
Are ball shells or canister better? And what do you think about Excalibur and the black cat neon Diablo? I just picked up a 24 of Excalibur and a six of the neon Diablo for $112. Is that a good deal?
In terms of consumer fireworks, if you want a symmetrical break of color than ball shells are better, but cans tend to have more stars and more sound
Are these the shooter artillery shells ?
They sure are
@@CodyBPyrotechnics Ok fasho. I remember from your review on them. These are bad ass for ball shells

A spark near missed the camera. 4:41.
Do it with a bit slower fuse
👍
Why fuse something and take apart the shell in this way? What’s the benefits of doing this in curious?
Inconsistencies in the leader fuse that comes with the shell from the factory. Sometimes, there is a MAJOR delay. This completely eliminates that
