In this video we talk about different ways firework companies can help reduce prices on consumer fireworks in America. Specifically, NOABs, Canister Shells, and Single Shot #500 & #300 Tubes which have all risen significantly in price since the early 2000s even though they are essentially still made the same way and have the same shipping rates. This is a problem that Raccoon is working to fix.

I guarantee most of the firework stands won't pass those savings on to the customer. They're gonna pocket that savings and sell it at the same price.
Unfortunately that’s the truth….u see phantom w their $399 dollar noabs that run less than 1/3 that price at the small mom and pop stands they’re putting out of business … it a wonder why their greedy con man owner Bruce Zoldan is a top 10 multi billionaire in America

Raccoon has been my favorite consumer brand for several years because of there quality products. Now there leading the way in packaging to reduce prices. All I can say is Bravo n keep up the great work n I’ll keep buying. 🙌🙌🙌
Yeah that was the problem in the Carolinas last year. I couldn't figure out why products such as Brothers Cobalt Bomb 500g was selling for 100 bucks each when it is, and still is, a $35.99 msrp.

Love these types of videos! Very informative and gets people otherwise unknowing on about some of the things behind the scenes in consumer fireworks. Here’s hoping more companies get clever with their packaging and pass a smidgin of those saving down to us. I run a tent on New Years for a company and always get a bit nervous seeing the price jumps. Here’s hoping they start plateauing and dipping.

Funny thing, I paid way less for my current stash for 4th of july 2023 then I paid in 2019 and 2020, 21 and even this last 4th that just passed. And I got more cakes and shells this year then all previous years. But definitely agree prices on avg are getting outta control.

I think this kind of seals the deal for buying directly from Raccoon. Buying cases has never been more appealing. Being able to buy a NOAB case and get 2 different ones is, in my opinion, ideal for the home shooter. You get a case discount and variety. WIN WIN. It will also be cheaper to ship direct from Raccoon and they usually have pretty good shipping deals around the 4th.
Looking at their site, I don't see where you can order directly from them.

I got a 24 pack of tiger force shells from raccoon which I think retail around 170 but got em yesterday for only 50 bucks. He is completely right about raccoon. Thanks Cody!
Cody, this is why I love you and the channel been saying this for the last month about Raccoon doing this compact pack and I’ve got every kit that you’ve demoed. I’m glad you did them justice peacock spider shells ,the flawless shells. I’m surprised you didn’t have six ring canister shells cause I got six ring ones along with all the Nishiki and just awesome video man great Content I’ll be on the lookout for those single shot tubes. Great content as always. It looks like Pyro Packed shells packaging has made a huge influence here being one of the cheapest sets out on fireworks+ great to see Racoon coming in quick with this update. I'd like to see a side by side comparison with Uncle Sam vs Mother of all Bombs I wonder which one has the better willows.
I know that a lot of your rating is based on noise, but for effects I rated the cans in order of my favourites 5, 1, 4, 3, 2, based on effects then colour. Congratulations to Raccoon for their cost cutting measures. Let’s hope more firework companies try to emulate their model. The NOABs definitely showed a good range of effects.
Smart of raccoon. Because they sell at same price. The savings is all in the shipping. Should be a win win for raccoon. Retailer and consumer.

Just got in some Racoon Mother of all Fireworks in the new packaging and loved it! Takes up so much less space and really hope it takes off across the different vendors. So much less shipping, shelf space everything.

I haven’t purchased any noabs since covid hit because of the prices. I remember when I got one for $35 and 2 for $79.
Great video, pretty interesting and some nice fireworks. In regards to the single tubes, do the #100 #300 #500 numbers mean anything? Sometimes I think see them as just #1 or #5, that sort of thing. But I've even asked firework sellers and never got much of any answer that it meant anything, I think the worst answer of all time was "it's just the number in the kit" which doesn't make sense at all, like a kit of cannister shells are labeled 1-24 or whatever!
I think it has something to do with the size of the shell, #500 being the biggest

Well, I went to my favorite fireworks store over the weekend. Excals were only 65 for the 24ct kit.
Shipping is coming down even more; expect to be able to hit the 20k-22k per TEU range by March which means that this year's prices should be less than last years'

Magnus brand posted a video of them down sizing package size a few months ago to save on shipping costs. Hope it translates to lower costs for the consumers soon!

The compact packaging is probably the best way to bring prices down by being more efficient in shipping. The cost to ship a container has gone up so much that for some product the cost of shipping the container has now surpassed the cost of the product itself. More stuff in the container = better prices and still be profitable.

I'm really digging the new packaging, thank God for Raccoon. They are my favorite shells and cakes!! With the new fusing method, have you had any mishaps with the shell bursting in the tube, do the drilled holes compromise the integrity of the launch tube than if it wasn't drilled out?
We have had a 99% success rate for over 3,000 canister shells. Not low breaks. The only time we have ever had issues is when we are using ball shells, because the diameter is not up to par with the canister shells

We use a lot of Racoon in our shows. We have a retailer in Evansville, IN and he keeps the prices much lower than anyone else.

My work sometimes asks me to take a delivery (to construction sites for concrete supplies), as my main job isn't driving anymore. Today they ask me to go out, and it ends up being by the firework place....I'm like, you know what happens when I go by one of the places guys. Came back with a pack of Growlers, at $180. Yikes, these prices have gone up. I believe the store going the other way, about a 45 min drive or so, has Raccoon products. I'll have to check them out now.

Do you think you'll ever get your 1.3 license? Of course, a lot of your content is geared towards showing us what we can do if we're looking at the right products, but I feel like some people (including myself) would just love to see the biggest and baddest you can get every now and then. Especially when it comes to the shows you put together.
I love it here in Oklahoma i go to Jake's and they carry a ton of world class and you can get the Excalibur 24 premium pack for $99 and cakes are anywhere from $10-$150 but not much more then that, the single tubes are like 7-$10, the only thing we don't get is rockets, we have like ONE rocket and one buzz bomb and that's about it anywhere you go lol

Even in the uk the prices on certain cakes that were 20 pounds have increased to 30 and rockets that were 20 a pack are 25 30
So we feel it too and certain main stores in the uk have taken advantage but you can still find a good deal

Yes, they are the same size shell no matter what. They can’t make a 3” shell unfortunately but I will take a perfectly symmetrical over sloppy breaks any day

Ive been buying containers of fireworks for years. Shipping is sometimes more expensive than the fireworks
But why not also make the big tube smaller? Since the shells are the same after all.
They could, but then we would need a 1.75” diameter tube inside of a 2.25” diameter tube and most customers won’t buy them because they look small :/ unfortunately until maximum legal firework sizes are normalized and people understand this, we won’t see a change in the size of the tubes.

I believe you can my neighbor orders his wholesale all the time without a license, there’s also really nice stuff out there that you do need a license for that you might be able to get away it’s buying if you get it in person at small firework shops
