We used to get those holiday shells in the late 80s early 90s in Michigan right on the border with Ohio. You had to leave the state to light off/only way the would sell them. They were the loudest shells at the time. They will destroy a wood or metal mailbox! lol. Good times we had!
Hey Cody forgot to tell you I'm a truck driver that loves shooting off huge fireworks 🎆... I'm planning on buying about 2500 dollars worth of big boy fireworks at Shelton fireworks...
I swear that the Holiday shells are the ones from around 1987 or even 1986! I bought them back in the day in a state that didn't allow any of these style fireworks. I have never seen them since and have asked several times. As I understand it they were banned back in 1988 or so. Cool to see these again!
Hey Cody, nice video man! The "star" Garrison was talking about, is actually the remains of the shell's time fuse being blasted away. You can see it in some professional shells too
I love this channel. CodyB -"Snakes and sparklers are the only ones I like". Also CodyB when he shoots the tiniest shells ever- "these are so lame, I thought they'd be better" 😂 Me, in Minnesota with the laws we have - 😡. God I hope this state changes soon.
The depth alone shells are readily available and cheap at a local firework store in Indiana. I love them. Sometimes I can get a few boxes for free if i buy other stuff because nobody ever buys them and they just sit around. Last 4th I think i got 2 or 3 boxes of these for free and I think I only spent $300 on the rest of my fireworks.
Aww man. You guy's are so lucky to be allowed to use these self load artillery shells. Even the smallest ones in this video, I would be so happy to have them. Here in Germany all that stuff that you have to load yourself is unfortunately only allowed for professional pyrotechnics.
Those holiday shells are just old-school rewrapped DOT horse brand holiday shells that were sold in the 90s. That’s why the packaging looks old….. back in the day A lot of these plastic artillery shells used to look like this.
I bought three boxes of those 12 Shot Mini Artillery Shells (China Generic Brand-The black box has a dragon on it) and half of them blew up in the tube like that. It happened so much I jokingly called it a feature. Red Rascals hit much louder than these.
Great vid, Cody!! Back 12yrs ago I got so tired of picking up unexploded doubles and triples from just about every company, I never bought them again!!
I remember around 2005 they had daytime shells by Black Cat called Smoke Artillery Shells it was a daytime mortar.. when it blew up it had just smoke but I never bought them .. they were disconinued not long after they came out.. Im sure they didnt work right.
Love these videos Cody (same name as my son 👍🏻) Over here in the Uk, well in Jersey, Channel Islands where I’m from, we used to only get and use shells in 2”, 2.5”, 3”, 4”, 5”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12” and 16”. We have had some bigger but not many. Never seen the small ones you get over there, but some have some really nice bursts and effects from them 👌🏼
I remember in the late 80s or it might've been early 90s we had those plastic shells hat were bigger. They launched and broke bigger & better than anything else My understanding is for some reason they were outlawed. Does anybody know why? You might've just shot some valuable Holiday Shells. They were also called Festival Balls. Where did you find those?
Re the daytime smoke shells. I have seen ones that break with smoke trails, here in the UK. But they are only for professional displays. They look like willows, after the burst.
Those Holiday Shells are actually kind of rare, they were made in the 80s and had a higher payload of powder in them before the dot class C era. Pretty sure they had MORE than 60grams per shell, which made them canceled not long after release
1.75" shells in a 2" package on the holiday shells I think. Overall I was still pretty impressed. I have pretty much given up on consumer fireworks ever since I started got into hobby pyrotechnics. It's just better being able to make whatever effect you want and cooler effects that aren't common in consumer fireworks.
Cody, love the videos! the small shells were kinda weak but that's the thing even the "boring" fireworks are still fun to watch thank you for the entertainment keep up the good work
Nice video Cody. From time to time I shoot quadruple break ball shells from USA/DYI. My experience with these is similar to your experience with the World Class triple breaks - a success/fail rate for achieving all breaks per shot of about 50%. On those quads, the fail is usually with the last two breaks in a shot.
Hey bud what kind of license do you need to get non consumer fireworks I got a finger print kit and they want me to send it to the ATF and if I get approved they need to come do an inspection on the place I will be storing my fireworks/explosives is that the process you had to go through ???
The "fishing bobber" shells seem like they're from the early 90's (possibly 80s). I've never seen them in person, but they're usually Horse Brand. Those are some of the best shells in the video in my opinion.
Well I can't get fireworks here... Sooo guess I'll go let of my model rockets in lue of that 😅...my dad's generation really screwed us on the firework front 😅

Artillery shells IMHO are the most satisfying fireworks to set off at home.

I believe you are right about that!! These Holiday shells were a rare find
I still find the white caps in my yard I blew off 30yrs ago awesome
Hey Cody, nice video man! The "star" Garrison was talking about, is actually the remains of the shell's time fuse being blasted away. You can see it in some professional shells too
this is cool CodyBPyrotechnics😎Thanks for the upload!😁

Absolutely love triple breaks. A rack of those sure are epic.

I love how much fun you have doing this. It really makes my day just to watch you guys have so much fun.
Great video love the daytime smoke shells ! And triple fire from cutting edge .and death alone were a great and nice symmetry🔥
I love smoke breaks. I love the lift charge with smoke. Those are long cups for lift charge. Seen them long but not really more thanks 2" maybe 2.5"
I loved the tiny shells they were my favorite 👍😁
The little shells are super dope I think small scale fire works are sick idk I'm kinda obsessed with mini stuff
18:57 to 19.00 you could see the star moving in the middle
I love this channel.
CodyB -"Snakes and sparklers are the only ones I like".
Also CodyB when he shoots the tiniest shells ever- "these are so lame, I thought they'd be better" 😂
Me, in Minnesota with the laws we have - 😡. God I hope this state changes soon.
All nice🔥🔥 when they work correctly even a 1 inch minis or bad great if you have a small yard and still wanting Ariel
I just love pyrotechnic because you're the best RUclipsr ever because the RUclips that you do I like because🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
These fireworks are insane
Nice !!
Very cool video.
Great comparison of shells.
Thank you 👍👍👍😎😎😎💪💪💪
I think the dilated means that it expands kind of like how the pupils dilate to let in more light
NICE shells. The gold effect (brocade) is really good. Best regards from Germany 🙂

I love fireworks 🎇
Nice video man👌🏼. Keep up the grind

Great video cody was that canister kits firework show for my birthday

All good!
The holiday shells you shot were much tamer than the originals by a long shot.
8:22 literally _big fat ass shell_☠️🔥
That was awesome Cody.
Thanks for the videocody💙

Cody-You have to try Baddah Bang cannister shells by Miracle. Nice effects and loud too. At least i think so
I think is ment to go in the day time just because the smoke😂😂😂😂😂
I love your videos Cody, thank you for the awesome videos keep up the great work.
Daytime fireworks shows are a thing in some countries. They use all kinds of colored smoke shells.
Bruh I used to only like try to get that and just blow up the shells on ground but I threw it far as heck fun as heck to
I remember in the late 80s or it might've been early 90s we had those plastic shells hat were bigger. the finalie was awesome
For 10 years we haved such how in The Beginning of The Video from CZ like The Beginning of Shells😅
Great video Cody 🎆🎆
Great day killers those smoke shells
dilated usually means to make bigger so those may just be “bigger” versions of ball shells. but i COULD be wrong on that
Man some of your stores are just awesomely named haha😊
Re the daytime smoke shells. I have seen ones that break with smoke trails, here in the UK. But they are only for professional displays. They look like willows, after the burst.

Daytime fireworks are pretty common in hobbyist pyrotechnics.
1.75" shells in a 2" package on the holiday shells I think. Overall I was still pretty impressed. I have pretty much given up on consumer fireworks ever since I started got into hobby pyrotechnics. Dialated means to enlarge maybe thats why they where so big
Winda is usually on point with their shells!!
Bro you gotta come to Germany one day, Fireworks are fucking big here
If you spent $200-$300 at American Wholesale Fireworks what shells would you recommend to get that would provide a variety of breaks?
Man i miss the old school bobbers.
Cody, love the videos! the small shells were kinda weak but that's the thing even the "boring" fireworks are still fun to watch thank you for the entertainment keep up the good work
The end was worth it

Copperheads are the best mini shells!
Stop the chit chat get with the Lightning of the shells!!
Cody at very end R2D2 sounds
Hey bud what kind of license do you need to get non consumer fireworks I got a finger print kit and they want me to send it to the ATF and if I get approved they need to come do an inspection on the place I will be storing my fireworks/explosives is that the process you had to go through ???
🎶YA GOTTA KEEPIN' DIALATED!!🎶
When you record in wide angle some of the breaks look smaller than they actually are and some are hard to see the effect
The "fishing bobber" shells seem like they're from the early 90's (possibly 80s). I've never seen them in person, but they're usually Horse Brand. Those are some of the best shells in the video in my opinion.
Cody, I think they mean they dialed in the perfect ratio for lift charge And stars when they say dilated
Your really awesome man love the fireworks 🎆 I'm from Omaha be cool to meet you some day
Cody b the original Dixie canon shells were plastic thay stoped putting them out early 90s
Those Mini Artillery shells fit into a used 1.2 size cake.
you can then fast fuse them.
Those little ones were cute and perfect for annoying the neighbors in the run-up to the main celebration 🎉
Bro is lighting pokéballs 😂
Do a shell on the ground in the netherlands we do that with 3 inch
I definitely notice the flying star on the last one around 19:00 but I can’t wait for the 4th!!
Well I can't get fireworks here... Sooo guess I'll go let of my model rockets in lue of that 😅...my dad's generation really screwed us on the firework front 😅
You should have kept 1 of every Shell and at the end you light them up all together
Nice video
What’s up Cody hope you’re doing good
Cool
Wish we had fireworks like you here in the boring uk. Mortars, bangers , mini rockets , airbombs, ect are banned
