I just bought a 997.2 Carrera 2S, and the S did matter to me. It also has red brembo brake calipers in addition to the extra 40 hp (385 hp in the USA). 0-60 is actually 4.3 seconds with the S models with PDK and 4.1 seconds if they have the Sports Chrono Package.

I just love the car and just bought a 2010 Carrera PDK mine is white because black is harder to keep clean and to hot for Florida ! great video Cheers mate.

I'm looking for my first Porsche (and still looking after 9 months - I'll only ask for a test drive if I'm 95% positive it's the car for me) but may have a few misgivings on being on camera the very first time I ever drive one! But at least it would capture the moment :)

My advise, don’t stress your search. It’s part of the joy of buying your first Porsche. When you reach the Porsche that is meant to be yours. It will come to you. I searched for a good three years. Started off wanting the Turbo S 997.2. Negotiated, things did not work. Too much stress on the sale. I backed out. long story short. When I saw the base, with 10k manual, with the sports exhaust, sports chrono, heated seats, heated steering wheel, spacers, Porsche logo encrusted in the seats and convertible. The car still smelled like new leather when I got inside. The negotiations with Porsche went smoothly. From start to finish. No efforts. I did get the extended warranty just to have a peace of mind. Good luck ! If you have any questions. I would be more than happy to offer advise. If you purchased by now. Hope you are enjoying the experience. Good luck!
