Jenny has a great point, and I definitely don’t think Albert should be off the team forever. I had a feeling Albert would make the cut, but her performances haven’t stood out to me for anything other than her ability to run around a whole lot, and that’s what makes the decision a bit questionable.
In terms of the fanbase, I don’t think she’ll be forgiven by a lot of folks (if ever) until she literally faces up to her mistakes. Yes, she’s young, but she’s still an adult and a professional- a disappearing written social media apology and a statement read by team leaders isn’t real accountability.
I'm pretty sour with USA women soccer and Emma Hayes. She's just one silly straight christian homophobic girl but the organisation behind her are fully grown adults who are endorsing her views by the looks of it. Shame..I hope the gay players in the team are safe and protected.
I feel deeply hurt about it still. All it would have taken is for her to make a public apology and leave it up. And then for us soccer to make the statements that the players ended up having to do. That would have been enough for me. You hurt someone and then you apologize to that person. The reason im so hurt right now is due to Jenny and others comments about this. All we ask for is an apology ...and people are now saying we are the ones spreading hate! For just wanting an apology for a wrong against us? It hurts that people will spend so much energy trying to shame us into being silent when we were just living our own lives, got attacked, and wanted a simple apology.

Maybe you might speak to Korbin instead of focusing on part of the story. What is going on with Korbin recently seems to be just left to guessing and indignity. Where is the journalism in the critique? This seems like more social media... jumping to the conclusion.
Even if she had not made those stupid posts, there are several midfielders better qualified than her. The most prominent is Ashley Sanchez.

Megan joked that getting injured was proof God didn't exist, a post piggybacked on that creating a post of God injuring Megan, and Korbin liked that post. Megan should not throw out jokes, if she can't take one back. Calling Korbin hateful because of that, is wildly embellished. As for the videos she liked that were allegedly "transphobic" "homophobic", I haven't seen the videos nor can I find them. I don't trust other people's assessment of those videos as my own, I would have to see it myself. Not everyone sees things the same way.
I can't see the apology either. It didn't happen. She's not sorry. I'd have to see it to be an authority on it. I did see the homophobic and transphobic content she shared and liked with my eyes. I saw she promoted hate on her social media. She can have her opinion but in 2024 you'd hope the organisation selecting and employing her would speak up and say that her views are not supported by the organisation. The absence of that sounds like an endorsement and it seems very strange to auction her pride jersey during pride week. I hope she spoke up for her beliefs and said she didn't want to participate given her views. She should be true to her beliefs and face the consequences. Anything less would be cowardly.
I’ll piggy back on that, the other video was a boy’s testimony where he became a Christian and was saved. Megan made a case for Korbin and doesn’t even realize it. In Megan’s statement she said to wake up (of course she said it using an acronym that implied profanity), but in that statement Megan suggested that things like that are making trans children commit suicide. Please ask yourself why are trans child suicidal? Why? Made it is because they are trying SO hard to be something they are NOT, and will never be, so as a result, they are mutilating their bodies, taking medication they don’t have to take with adverse effects. It sometime they can never change, 1,000,000 years from now you can dig their bones out of the ground a still tell what sex they were born as because you can’t change you genetic code! Megan offers no alternative, no at all. Maybe some of them would be saved with Korbin’s alternative…Korbin is the greatest ever, the most wonderful player that has ever come onto the USWNT, the Tim Tebow of today, and Megan Rapinoe is the most horrible, awful, terrible, grim, hateful, sickening, horrid, foul, repulsive, insufferable, appalling, and nightmarish individual that has ever existed!!!!
I know what is really happening! It’s really very simple. It’s just a really bad case of extreme female jealousy!!!! Korbin is MUCH prettier than Morgan, Swanson, Smith, Williamson, etc.
So, there is a major effort to put her down! The players from the USWNT see Korbin as a younger and prettier player that will so grab the spotlight! Hi Jennifer Cole, I just want to let you know that I disagree with you two statements above, let’s start with the 2nd one first that you think Tim Tebow can’t string sentences together. Tim is a graduate of the University of Florida which is Florida’s Land Grant College & the academic flagship of the state. UF is Florida’s leading research institution in the areas of agriculture research, veterinary science, and medical science. It is a top 30 academic institution, it is one of the finest academic institutions in our great nation. It is Very hard to get into as a freshman! The acceptance rate is only 30% per year of all applicants. You pretty much need a 4.0 and around a 1350 SAT score to be considered for this institution. Tim not only was admitted, but he completely his bachelors degree with a 3.66 GPA, he was also an academic all American. While playing football at the University of Florida he won the Heisman Trophy, and he is considered by many to have been the greatest college football quarterback of all time. Today Tim’s job is to put sentences together to speak as an analyst on the ESPN network. Tim receives an annual salary of 6 million dollars a year to put sentences together on TV. Tim also is a motivational speaker, to book Tim to speak at your event will cost you around 75,000 to 149,000 dollars. That what people pay Tim to put sentences together!
So, I have to say you above statement is somewhat inaccurate!

We’ll, Korbin Albert graduated high school one year early, so she went to the University of Notre Dame as a 17 year old to start her freshman year year, Notre Dame is also one of the finest private Catholic institutions in our great land, and like UF only the absolute top students stand even a slight chance to get in as a freshman,
Korbin was one of the absolute top recruited players in the land she was the ECNL’s player of the year when her club team, the Eclips from Chicago, won a national championship.
At the University of Notre Dame Korbin won these awards:
Nation Wide Best Freshman in 2021
All ACC team 2021
ACC midfielder of the year in 2022
NCAA All American team in 2022
All ACC team in 2022
And as a freshman she was a finalist for the Herman Trophy.
She left Notre Dame as a before her junior year because she was given a contract to play for on of the BEST women’s soccer teams on the planet Paris St Germain.
Then at age 20, Korbin was called up to the USWNT where she became the 2nd youngest player in team history to be capped!! So, when the GREAT Megan Rapinoe was the same age as Korbin is now, she had not yet played a single game with the USMNT,
So, I once again disagree with you statement about Korbin not being a good soccer player.

How do you think Albert’s the second youngest player ever capped by the USWNT when she is older than Jaedyn Shaw, and there are dozens players who debuted as teenagers (including Lily Yohannes a few weeks ago)!?
She was the 2nd youngest at the time she was first Capped in December of 2023,
Well you guys said she can grow as a person and show she can be an ally to the LGBTQ community. The thing is though, she doesn't have to. She can still be a critical piece for the USWNT while not aligning with the lgbtq community. Why? Cause we reached a stage where we let an heavy activist like Megan Rapinoe create the culture SHE wanted. It was her way or no way at all. With her no longer on the team, the culture she built is crumbling.
