Hi there, I love the video but I just wanted to help by pointing out that your sanding belt on your bench grinder is wrongly routed. The belt is meant to go over the metal plate in the middle to provide you with a flat surface to push against. Just thought that might help
Thank you! My recent videos have basically been about woodworking, but only making slingshots is repetitive. Also I'm out of marbles. Gotta get some steel balls! Winter is coming and I plan on harvesting some forks. Might make some project related to that.
I love your videos! They are great and its awesome to see another young woodworker. Where do you get your exotic woods from?
Ripp I didnt realise the surform was made out of magnesium so I dunked it carelessly in vinegar along with a bunch of other stuff and it melted like half of the file
Great video, you did a great job! But i don´t think the paint is going to hold on very long, i did the exact same thing to a laminated-on piece of aluminum (on a slingshot) and it looked awful after a few hours of shooting :D
It's not gonna stay on very long, but let's pretend it's done right :) Truth is I couldn't find spray primer in any local store. Shipping from eBay or Amazon would cost too much, and the package wouldn't arrive in at least another week. Can't have small details slowing down my upload rate.
LetsBuildIt Please keep going like this on your channel, your videos are awesome! I think if you really could keep this uploading rate you are quickly going to get over 1000 subscribers! And did you spend the money on this new camera you got just for youtube?
Forjam Not sure what you mean. Are you wondering if I spent my own money on buying a better camera to use specifically for RUclips, or are you asking if I bought it with the money coming from RUclips revenue?
LetsBuildIt I was asking if you bought the camera only for youtube or if you have a lot of personal use for it also. Sorry for my bad english, i am a german just like jörg sprave :)
Forjam Haha don't worry. Actually I bought it only for RUclips. I should probably use it in my personal life, but I only have one memory card and don't want to have build photos mixed with the normal ones. The reason why I bought it was that I was selling my iPad and needed something better for my channel. I'd say that's my best spent 160 Euros ever.
Great refurbishment! I'm thinking about picking up a surform now as well. :)
