This is not really my idea of multiplayer. why don’t they have a big open lobby where people can go and hang out and meet players from all over the world , like people used to do on PlayStation Home, back on the PS3? I don’t have any friends that play this game so to me, this is a dead end

Happy Birthday!!!! With regards to pixel shards, they can be turned into potions that boost crafting, cooking. I believe it was Serroh who did a video on it. But one recipe allows you to be able to craft an object even though you don't have a resource. It uses what you crafted with the pixel shard as a replacement. Another potion deals with cooking. If you make one of an item it will add one and give you two. I don't know if it actually doubles or just adds the one. Now from my first hand experience I can say that both hosting and visiting allows you to be able to pick up shards. You will ONLY be able to see the shards that are meant for you to pick up. I was able to see a shard when visiting my sister in laws valley that she could not see and vice versa. Now IF we dropped them out of our pockets, the other could then see and pick up. But we determined that if it is meant for you, only YOU will see it. I was in her valley running around for about 30 minutes and collected 31 shards.

I’m not gonna lie this would’ve been the perfect game if they treated it just like PlayStation home. Literally I don’t know why somebody at Disney hasn’t gotten the bright idea to make a Disney theme park game and just to make it MMO style. Special events and all.
While watching your live when all this dropped I noticed that it seems like you get one pixel for everyone in that valley. So three visitors to your island? There should be four pixels. And it looks like only one of those pixels will be visible to each player. If that’s the case then I like that, if you have strangers in your valley they can’t just go and find all of the pixels, everyone gets one so long as they can find their one
I don’t think so! I think if you exit it automatically turns off. I haven’t tested it yet but if you activate it then quit the game and go back to the station and it generates a new code then that would mean it couldn’t stay open

I love this game. But I’m disappointed by what the multiplayer has to offer so far. I do hope it gets better soon. I would love to have lots of interactions as well as be able help decorate the valleys. I’m sure it’ll never happen but it would be amazing if we could do quests together

You can visit other players on other consoles! The only exception is PlayStation users. They can’t.
