i agree..in my experience as an anglo, quebec is an open, welcoming society...more than people give it credit for.....especially if one makes an effort to speak french
Why is this dude pretending to fight on our behalf as an English-speaking minority? He did nothing when he was a federal MP to safeguard bilingualism. He is not the man who can defeat the PQ or Legault. Really important to have a francophone leader who is unafraid to stand for our rights.
Yeah they very stupidly had no understanding of the law. The law is about public service. If the library was the one offering an English only activity, then that would be a problem. But some random group wanting to use the library to have a lecture in whatever language they want is all fine. Basic analytic skills would make one understand that.
It's not 1970 anymore. Westmounters notwithstanding, the average non-francophone salary is starting to slip behind francophone ones. I think this is part of why Québec politics are so scrambled. You'll start to find more francophones tacking to the economic right and more non-francophones looking to the economic left as they both search for parties that serve their self interests.
''radical left socialist'' Do you realise words have meaning, and throwing all the buzzwords out there isn't going to make your argument any better ? What's left wing about what he's saying, and what he's planning to do as a QLP leader ?
Please, please do something about the advertising interruptions! You've shown me a side of M. Rodriguez that I haven't seen before. I love his enthusiasm. I hope he turns a little more to the right on the economic front (deficit reduction, trade diversification, productivity, etc.)
Unity, no division and working together as Canadians including Québec are the wining conditions especially in this period Canadians and Québécois have to fight against threats and challenges from Trump's attacks on our economy and our territorial integrity.
Well, the PLQ could certainly extend the use of Rodriguez to generate ad nauseam electoral kinship. I am more worried of politicians stating that secularism as understood by the French is an individual right in Canada rather than by an ideological bread-to-butter strategy. No sticks included this time around.
he has a spanish name - i hope that doesnt work to his disadvantage... but he speaks english with a french canadian accent so presumably he speaks french like a native, so his ancestry might not be an issue for the population of quebec at large.
We have English in Montreal since 1760 making it 265 years .That is how many years the English language has been a superficial, quintessential , etc part of it's culture, heritage and identity. We are very different from the rest of Quebec ,it is with these traits that the economical success has flourished in the whole province. If there is a city to exempt and give more flexibility in language etc. it is in Montreal, because it is essential for the realization of a reputable city among others in this globe.
How will he reduce our Income Tax? Ho will get riid of government waste, how does Quebec grow its economy in a new Nationalist view of the US? Seriously ask the questions
do we need to reduce our income taxes or just ensure that the money is used to greater effect? all our hospitals, medical practices, schools, colleges and universities and are publicly financed...that is a major fiscal obligation...
they do assimilate...it just takes a generation...there is no evidence to suggest that the recent immigrants from india, china, africa, latin america won't assimilate along the same pattern as earlier immigrants like the italians, greeks, jews and portuguese.
No other province assimilate its immigrants more than Quebec. In the rest of Canada, multi-culturalism ensures that everybody remain in their own buble/community

Unity, not division, is more needed now than ever. Very good video. I appreciate you doing and sharing these.
If this is the best Liberal can do, its a lost cause
??

How is he surprised about the library? How is he not aware?
that decision was made by one narrow-minded person

I am convinced he is a Radical Left Socialist , he is not a Jean Charest Liberal , I am not voting for anymore left parties

Modify and rip out the notwithstanding article. Let's see if it stands up to judicial scrutiny.
My Trust in Federal Liberal ministers scares me.. I hope for the best but I fear for the worst
Do you still trust them?

PQ vs Liberal for the same old politics... getting too old for this. Where are the new ideas, where are the bold ideas.
he has my vote..intelligent guy

You don't need to speak french with a Quebec accent to earn the people's respect. It's about what you do now what you say

Immigrants come to Canada, they should assimilate to be Canadians. This province nation bs, is getting boring. Time to push back.
