Please do more product photo stuff like this. I find it very helpfull
Will do! We try to partner with different kinds of photographers so you can get a wide range of videos to learn from.
OMG, thank you! I'm always McGyvering things. This was great.
Glad you found it helpful!
A very useful video with great examples. I was a chef for 25 years, and if I was young enough and well enough to turn pro for myself I think it would be food photography I’d probably try to get in to. I also like the complexity of the little reflectors and flags, and trying to get the light to the exact point. But your little light course on your playlists has helped me understand how to do what I'm trying to do better than any other source. Things suddenly made sense after far too many years struggling.
I'm definitely going to have to get that food photography video course, it just seems a natural progression and I know you explain things in a way I understand. Thank you.
Thanks for watching Mark! We know that there are many aspects that go into making a great photograph and we want to make sure you don't miss any of them. Let us know what you think of the course!
Enjoyed this! These items and techniques can easily be used for macro photography also.
Yes it will definitely work! Thanks for watching man.
you got a whole ikea store out there... gotta try this and some DIY type of setup to kick off my food photography...thank you for this video
Haha, small hardware store setup. You're welcome! Looking forward to seeing your work, Tag us in the photos you take on instagram @theslantedlens
Amazing video!
This is very useful. Thank u for sharing
Thank you so much!
I really liked the different "table tops" shown in the different examples of when using the clamps. Is there any place in particular to get different table tops or are they all custom build?
Great video! Very, very, very, very useful. Videos like this are always welcomed.
I definitely saw some things I did not already know about. Thank you guys!
Tell Ed if the food photography thing slows down it looks like he could work part-time playing for the Raiders
Thanks for watching Wilson! Are you interested in food photography?
@@TheSlantedLens Not particularly interested in food photography, but definitely in clamps and any other DIY tips and tricks. This video was really good in that regard.
I see! Thanks for sharing with us, we will keep that in mind when planning future shoots.
I've got a lot of those clamps already , but damn if c-stands aren't expensive
They are a pretty penny, but worth it if you are going to be shooting in a studio long term!
Griping episode!
Thanks for watching! Are you interested in Product or Food Photography?
Top. 👍
Thanks for watching Gert! Are you interested in food photography?
The Slanted Lens Yes I am - but it's not my focus.

A camera? :-)
@@RobbyNowell and a subject!
LED lights. I find that shooting in restaurants usually means dim and overly warm lighting and the windows are often covered up if they exist at all. Reflectors don't cut it so take your own lights. Not flash because that will bother the patrons. Typically a couple of small video light panels get the job done for me but occasionally I take an Xplor strobe and use the built in modeling light for larger coverage on a flat lay/hero shot.
Good consistent lighting is a must-have. Thanks for sharing with us!
I wish I had a watch going at half of the speed. Clients always want the work done super fast and I would like to enjoy the whole process more instead of hurrying up for the final shot. But that's life, I imagine...
I swear every time I use tape it is never that simple
Tape is a "sticky" one.
Constant music isn't good. Great info though.
Thanks for letting us know!
Say clamps and end the video
AT 4:34 what is the little wired frame with what appears to a bit some silk diffusion or parch paper. I really like it! Is it something custom he made? This was a great video, very helpful!
That is a small scrim with diffusion. Here is a link: bhpho.to/2RAyLAF
