Need more of these sort of end to end videos. They're really helpful and I can basically follow along on the example. I find it a great way to learn.

Keep loving your work..
Heck yeah. Damn good teacher. Thx.
Great video man. I learn so much with you. Love your style. Became a patron. Well done.
Hey thanks man that’s awesome 🤘
It took quite efforts to shot this video and you are good at videography
Great tutorials! I really like your style. I hope you consider making a video about the backgrounds/backdrops, the material that you use, color combinations, how you get the wood painted, etc
Thank you
Coming soon
@@skylerburtphotos I was just about to aski you the same, pleaaaase. Thanks and so nice to see your work and tutorials.
Merci beaucoup. Excellente vidéo! Superbe photo!
Wow. Super cool and easy.
Such a nice and informative video! I dont have a flash, can i achieve the same effects with natural light or just a softbox with a co tinuos light?
Great teacher
you really discover more likes, appreciated idea and thanks for learnings photoshop also !
Wouuu... very very nice! Great!
Your killing it great shots
Amazing
Hello and thank you for creating and sharing this educational video! I was wondering if you would share more information about your light stands and arms/clamps for the stands. I'm looking to get started in food photography and curious about what I need to get started regarding lighting.
Very nice tutorials
Superb, nicely done 👍
Thanks for the new video! Also do you use a tablet for photoshop editing? Like a Wacom.
Love your tutorials! What type of remote shutter do you use.
You’re impressive!
Great idea for separating the pour and the waffles. However, even though you talked about how to set up the light, while taking the shot I couldn’t see the light anywhere. Did you move it out of frame while explaining about the pour?
Hi thanks for the video! Very helpful. Could you kindly share your settings for the shot? F. Stop and focus point?
Great your backgrounds
Gamechanger, great PS technique...
Perfect! Congrats!
Hugs
You are my SENSEI !
nice!
My favorite RUclips food photographer
Damn, your set alone is beautiful, before you even start photographing.
Could you please make a video on how to shoot recipe video, I have a recipe channel and I always struggle on how to take shoots of my ingredients, from which angle to take , how close I should go to my ingredients and on which sequence should I take the video . It would be really helpful ..
If you guys just need the most power from speedlight and does not mind manual only. Check out yongnuo yn660. It roughly about 1/3 more brighter than other top of line speedlight. For example this godox tt685 has guide number of 197. The yongnuo 660 has guide number of 217. If you need even more power you really need to go to godox ad200 type of flash.
Love your work, can I use this particular flash speed light on a Canon 80D camera?
The x shortcut? Mindblooooooowing
New photoshop user here :)
I want to see more flash light photography
You are too good, how u manage moving broll shots while dripping syrup in the beginning of this video, do u use slider or someone helps u with camera movements, love your work and your very well made videos.
New video coming soon on that
GREAT TUTORIAL WHAT WAS THE WHITE DIFFUSION USED IN THE SHOOT
You're a better teacher in food photography than the ambassadors of *ehem* in my area.
Great, now I need a good cafe to try it.😁🥞📷
don't forget to bring your tripod
this is greeeeeeat
Under File in photoshop there is a script menu, load files into stack. That might be useful.
i think you could do some tutorial on food video shooting.
Good to see you back. ( I think the sound of this video is quite low, at full volume on my phone, I am struggling to catch the sounds and words. Thanks 🙂 )
Noted thanks for letting me know 🤘
funny how i usually come here for the video rather than the photography lool... the b-rolls are the best
Skyler, what are your thoughts on the Godox sk400ii?
I kept hearing “Go ducks” 🦆 😂 Thanks for this video!
Well I'm a big Ducks fan, so it might be a slip ;)
Great great video. One thing though, reflector dish is pretty much useless on a fresnel head / speedlight, in my experience. The grid in itself still works fine though. Quick question, really curious about this - you use grids a lot even in small scenes, for which reason? It seems it still lights up the whole scene considering it's not a huge scene.
I personally prefer the richness in the shadow areas over a softbox (it's really picky, but it looks more natural to me). The reflector is more just to hold the grid (and block the light from reflecting off of walls/ceilings). I'm not really using the grid like you would for portraits or something like that, which is why it's in combination with a diffusor.
Basically, with the grid/diffusor combo, it's also my attempt to fight flat light no matter the room conditions (i.e. small room with white walls).
It is also what most closely resembles how I would work with natural light. A small light source "far away" (the sun) shining through a diffused window.
We Eat Together that makes sense, thanks for the answer and keep it up
Hi Thank you for this video , Can i use My speed light 580ex with XPro-C Wireless Flash Trigger Transmitter or i need something else ? Or i must also use X1R-C Controller Receiver ?
hi, good and detailed video! i want to ask 1 thing, do you still get ambience light in this photo? or just ab artificial light?
Hi Adrian! It's all artificial light
We Eat Together nice!
@@adrianhartanto8247 Most of the time manual settings of lowest iso (say iso 100) fastest flash sync shutter (say 180 for Canon FF) and a relatively small aperture ( f4 and higher) will eliminate the ambient light of a moderately lit room. You just can test it out turning off the flash and taking a picture. If you don't get black shots then you can experiment with aperture till you get the desired level of dark exposure.
Great vid, ummm... is that a Jared Polin nodding doll in front of your computer hahaha
What tripod is the one you're using in the video? Ta!
is there any that you recommend for a sony, i know most food photographers use nikon or sony?
What camera settings for these shots?
Hey, Skyler! Where do I find info about becoming a Patreon member?
which light did you use in the video?
Is it true that the manual flash 1/1 will have a longer flash duration than maybe a 1/32?
Can I use AD200 pro for food photography?
That is like a Real estate edit technic.
where did you get your backdrop?
Have you ever thought about using motor oil instead of syrup so it react different?
That syrup or motor oil?
I want waffles now. 🤤🤤
What do you use when you use the camera taking a shot looking down on the product (right over centre of product)🤔🤔🤔
C stand
Silly question but HOW do I pair my nikon to the flash to shoot at the same time?
So many people moving to patreon, if RUclips would pay artists fairly it wouldn't be necessary, great channel.
Which Lena si that?
if you use 10w-30 motor oil to simulate syrup, it wont soak into the waffle.
From where the backgrounds or how do you make ?
I recently made surfaces with mdf board, joint compound for texture, and chalky/matte spray paint. My next project is to source timber to stain and put together wood grain surfaces, like Skyler uses.
Coming soon
Great video as always! Loving your channel, checking out the Patreon right now! Thanks!!
more volume pls!
Noted
Why you put this grid on strobe?
Hello, will the trigger work with TT350 series too? thanks!
I’m not sure, I looked on Amazon under the compatibility but couldn’t find the TT350 listed you may want to check the Godox site
@@skylerburtphotos thank you for your reply. Will check them out :)
It will work with all Godox flashes (even the AC powered studio lights).
The instant channels are sponsored is the instant before they lose all creative cred.
What if I used a lens 50 1.8 ?
you can try, but the universe my break apart. I would be cautious ;)
