Another cracking video, would this stop me hitting about 4 inches (sorry too old to do metric) behind ball. Whilst on subject of help, Grandson off 6/8 has started hitting clubs extremely high could you tell me possible reason.
Yes he does take it a little on the inside but I wouldn’t personally address that as he can create the desired downswing and impact with that move. I’d keep an eye on it but other things that would need a little more focus imo
Agree that for practice they can mask a few faults but not the case in a lesson. I always use a launch monitor and there is no cheating that, good strikes show as do poor ones, granted the poor ones perform better but still valuable to practice from mats if you know what you are looking for
@@ChrisRyanGolf your 100% correct in this case he had a knowledgeable teacher right there that would notice if he wasn’t striking it great and getting away with it, what I should of said is for practicing alone I’m not a huge fan of mats
Cheers, hit the nail on the head. Seems so easy for you to diagnose issues very well!
Thanks for sharing! You’re the best Chris!
Thanks for watching 🙌
Brilliant video Chris, really helpful and so many takeaways from this. Thank you. 🙏
Thanks Lucas
Great video Chris, really helpful. Will definitely apply these tips to improve my iron swings.
Thanks Chris hope they help
Well done Chris 👏 😊
Thanks Roy
Top drawer stuff Chris… you’re a legend! Thank you for sharing this. 👍
My pleasure, thanks for watching.
One session only? Well done!
Thanks, this worked superbly for me today.
Awesome, great to hear 🙌
Thanks for the lesson Chris! 🎉🙌🏻
Thanks mate, 10/10 student 😁
9:15. Too me the key part of the lesson which helped me the most.
Agreed, that could almost be a video in itself

Would you consider the next step in this training to work more on the swing path? Seams like the swing is very much in and out?

I think you may have just identified a missing piece in my own swing's jigsaw puzzle. Thank you!
Awesome, hope it helps
What is the training board you used to help him with strike?
It’s called a fatplate and it’s great for feedback and developing strike
@@ChrisRyanGolf thank you
How can you get one -to-one lessons with you ?
Also, Get a STOW STICK…. Sure Works Well…
I am not saying this move is wrong. I am only saying that is contradicts what I thought I knew about the golf swing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah
There is no real feedback using those nasty mats. Even if you land the club behind the ball, you'll still strike it. Excellent tips, though!
Agreed they are not ideal, but with data it helps as that doesn’t lie, but grass is the ultimate test
"Forward and down, then stretch up". Most inconsistent and poorly explained move. Many amateurs finish the swing hunched over.
Don’t love off the mat lessons you can get away with a lot more
