Joe Kelly's Deadpool is my favorite run for the character. I started reading Deadpool with this run. Deadpool is one of my favorite comic book characters of all time. My top 2 Marvel characters are Deadpool & Wolverine. My top 2 DC characters are Batman & Swanp Thing. My top 2 Image characters are Spawn & Invincible.

I enjoyed watching your Where to start reading videos on Marvel Comics. Such as Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, X-Men, Wolverine, and Marvel itself. There's a lot of Deadpool comics to read on the Merc with a mouth. I only have the full volume of Deadpool vs Wolverine. I'll start with the Epic Collections, Modern Era Epic Collections, Collected Editions(Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe again, Deadpool: Black, White, and blood, and more).
Love the *Collected In:* info, hope to see more of this in future content to help direct people like myself on where to look for these stories. As a newish collector/reader, it can feel overwhelming to figure out where stories are collected, where double dips, etc. Especially if I'm focusing collecting via Omnibus format, I don't like the thought of grabbing trades and such if there's an Omni available or on the arising 🙂 Great context as always, and praise to the editing guy too 🙌🙌🙌
Duggan and Posehn made me love the character. I tried early 90s appearances but I found the art ghastly. I liked Daniel Way very much. I liked the era with the two voices.
I'll never forget the day I was exposed to Deadpool at a ripe young age of 5 (Im 24 now.) it was at of all places meijer and its was the first issue of the Daniel Way storyline. I remember seeing the cover and being like what on earth is a Deadpool and this doesn't look like it should be in Meijer😅 Deadpool and Ghost Rider are my favorites hands down
Cable and Deadpool I feel like is a good start for how much it was used for the movies. Even Ryan Reynolds read an issue of it to understand the character before the movie.
I thought Ultimate Deadpool was just Kitty Pride though? It's not Wade Wilson and just an alternate identity Kitty Pride takes when she's not doing X-Men stuff.
@@shinyocelot04archive no where did you get that idea? Deadpool in the ultimate universe was part of the ultimate reevers and hunted down mutants on krakoa for a tv show.

The run by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning is what inspired the movie, and it's a great run. You might want to familiarize yourself with Annihilation Conquest for its Star Lord story though. Al Ewing's run was also fantastic. It's a nice tribute to Annihilation era cosmic stories without having to know anything about them.

I actually dropped Deadpool after that Silver Age Spider-Man issue. I should have just brushed it off.
You forgot about alternate realities, mainly Ultimate Deadpool who appeared in the pages of Ultimate Spider-Man
