I Remade Beat Block Galaxy in Mario Builder 64

- This is my remake of the level "Silver Stars in Double Time" from Super Mario Galaxy 2's Beat Block Galaxy in Mario Builder 64. I used the floating wood platforms and on/off switches to create an infinite on/off loop and red coins to replace the silver stars. I'd like to add more decoration and stuff to it in the future, but that's all for now.

This is proof a 3D Mario Maker can work. Hopefully an official Nintendo one releases eventually.
This maker is still amazing though don’t get me wrong!
I think this level could use a wall of canons stacked on top of each other and 36 whomps
yeah i hope Nintendo sees that is a blast, not take down the game and even hire the guy who made it. When i *helped* and created SMBX with some of my friends, which was the first Mario maker programm, thy took it down and stole our idea.
I spent over 4 hours to build a course last night and it’s so amazing how much you can build in this hack. This is exactly how Mario Maker 3D should be. Now Nintendo has no excuse for not making their own 3D Maker.
Pretty faithful recreation, must be pretty tricky to clear with SM64 physics though
I haven't played this level but I was looking at the idea of recreation a beatbox level as well. This was a great faithful version of it. But I have to say, I just put a strings of blocks in a row and climbing like stares with no other blocks for support. It's really hard to go up. If you are right at the edge you will grab the ledge. A ledge grab = instant death.
Would be nice if the devs put in a beat noise like the original versions. Maybe a little delayed step before you are unable to stand on the block. Galaxy and Mario 3D world are a little more forgiving.

The fact you put 5 red coins like the 5 silver stars in SMG is the attention to details that I simply can't get enough of

Oh man this is extremely faithful to the og. Well done! I expected the blocks to stop shifting after collecting coins but them keeping going is a fun surprise that woulda caught me offguard haha
