About 6 years ago I was able to take the CD boot from Amiga Forever and turn it into an ISO. Then I used a program from work to turn that into a bootable USB drive. That should work well on more modest hardware.
I'm a bit late for that tip :) If you got this write-protected error, from the HP tool, it's because the USB-Stick is GPT-Parted and not MBR. Simply fix it with: CMD --> As Admin diskpart list disk select disk # clean convert mbr then you are done, and the stick will work again, with the HP tool =)
Mikey, If one had a spare laptop, could one do this ona permanent basis, thus creating an ultimate Amiga laptop? Meaning, installing it on an SSD (using sata-usb adapter and doing all the steps as if on an USB drive)?
This is actually really good, and solves the need to boot from Amiga forever CD.. :) I guess USB capacity could be an issue yes? eg 16Gig and over?? and the occasional editing of config as well from Windows if you change the defaults more often than not,.... but it's a neat setup.
My account on EAB after over a week still has not been verified for some reason so i am unable to post there so i'll ask my question here. When i press F12 and go to removable media and click on DF0:, there is no list of my ADF files, nor is there a file requester that allows me to add ADF's. Where do i have to put the ADF files and is there any editing of the config file as to the location of these ADF files??

I can't get the USB stick to boot. Could I be using too large of a drive (64GB)? Will I have to partition it? I got farther with Amiga Live sys but that still didn't work. It's like the computer gods don't want me to relive my youth.
If I use Amiga Explorer to copy and view Amiga files onto the PC, will I then be able to run and view them using an Amiga emulator such as Amiga Forever?
Hi I followed your instruction and I keep getting it stall on the start screen with 1 second on the timer. I did try adjusting the config file but just keeps stalling.
It's been a while since I touch this project now. I know that someone else has since updated it after me so worth checking the EAB forums for updates. I'll try and do another video show casing it.
Hi Alex, the video shows how to set up the stick using Windows 10 if thats what you mean. The stick is independent as you boot from the USB stick and not use it from within Windows.
The Raspberry Pi is a neat solution but price comparison it wouldn't win. A Raspberry Pi kit starts at £59 and I can get a 16GB USB Flash drive for £5 and use an exisiting machine I have. ;-)
@@MrJaz8088 you know what would boot straight up as an amiga if price isn't a consideration for you? An amiga lol. I personally use. Amiga forever plus edition and you can get it for free. And before you say that requires a pc, so does setting up an image for a pi or putting software on a USB stick

Hi. Vinnie, I was reading from a script in this video rather than my normal on the cuff. Maybe it doesn't come a crossed as lively. I chose to script this one as wanted it accurate and not forget anything as it's a tutorial. Thank you for the feedback I'll keep it under advisement.

Will it take a minute or so to boot (like it did in this video) every time you power on your computer?
Yes, it all depends on how fast your computer is. If it is newer model then it will be a bit quicker.
Just what I was looking for, but can't get it to boot, all the BIOS is set and tested.
Great video... Please make an update some time soon.

no optical discs.

Yes that would be the way I'd do it. If not using Windows FS-UAE is the alternative.

Anyone run into this problem??
