This is an amazing video. Everything you’d ever want to know about how to use and what’s in it, clearly shown. P3 is streamlined and feature packed. Truly an all in one “super Amiga.” Thank you Chris and all those who helped!!!

Once again, I appreciate my BBS listed in the Term 2.0 directory. (6:20--6:40) There are some dead boards listed like Power BBS and Rat's Den. I made a listing of current AmigaOS BBSes currently running and published it on the C-Net Discord channel. I didn't include any /X boards yet. but I did include Zeus and other BBS programs that run in an AmigaOS environment. Thanks for pointing out that you, yourself has been a SysOp for years (with the only current C-Net v3.05 BBS in the world running.) Those who don't know, may I introduce "the Iceman". I encourage everyone to call a BBS to get a glimpse into the past, when games were simple and message bases were filled with unfiltered free speech. And Chris? I'd be happy to provide you an updated directory for Pimiga 4.0. ;-) And yet I wonder how you can possibly capture the Amiga experience any better than this? I tip my hat to you sir, as I bow and split my pants.

Damn fucking engineer like my father ! You are a genius ! My dyslexia has sodomized all my school studies to do like you and my father ! Fortunately there are good high performance brains like yours for having made all its wonders for Amiga ! Thank you so much ! I love your videos and your humor as well as your American accent that I understand much more easily than the grotesque British accent because I am French. Kisses from France !
(I hope my little message will please you and have fun, such was my intention.)

Thank you for this update! I am typing this on my PiMiga 3 (a Pi4 8gb) and typing it with my A4000 keyboard running through a Leonardo controller! Hoping to get mouse and joystick set up as well, and am thrilled to see the Drawbridge is working so will have to get that done as well. I wish I could say the rest of my 4000 was in as good of shape as the keyboard, but, alas, the motherboard is toast. It may be sacrilege, but I have considered mounting the PI in with the controllers for keyboard, mouse, drives, and all into the A4000 case just to have a fun desktop... if I can pull it off and do no harm to the case, I may.
Thanks for doing a better job keeping the spirit of Amiga alive for us folks who wandered off and keep coming back from time to time.

One suggestion for the next release, for a seamless (visible) integration of the Linux plane punch method.... an Amiga window manager theme would be great. I will add that for me personal, but it´s just a suggestion ;-)

So I had a issue using the Monster Joystick adapter that allows me to use an original joystick - it just wouldn't work with games when running PiMiga3 on a Raspberry Pi (although it worked absolutely fine if navigating the UAE settings GUI) - So instead I used the tutorial by Retr0Rewind to run PiMiga3 on Windows 11 through WinUAE (version 5) and it works like a dream with my original ZipStick joystick and the Monster Joystick adapter. Thanks for a great project Chris!!

Many thanks for this Chris! As usual awesome work! One of my other Pi fun things are retro games consoles - such as Retropie etc. I can see a route now to combine some of this into Pimiga 3. Love the addition of Chrome and Firefox! This actually makes this setup very useable day to day surfer too - something only the very dedicated would attempt with IBrowse (even if it had no 20 minute limitation)! Your MF 1.5 was the very reason I bought a Pi400, was then V2 - but it is soon going to be rolling V3 🙂

Tried reburning the image, using different kickstart ROM etc. Didn't work. Eventually I plugged my pi400 into a modern monitor - steady as a rock! Dont know why this is, perhaps the TV didn't support the resolution - but pimiga 2 worked fine! Anyway, worth trying with a different screen if anyone has the same problems as I did.

    Hi,
Im a new Pimiga (and Raspberry Pi) user, this project made me buy a Pi400 to try it out - thank you for the efforts on this, it’s amazing.
I am struggling with an issue which I don’t know if is a Pimiga or Amiberry, etc thing, I have no joypad attached, I’m just looking to play with my keyboard like I used to on my old Amiga - when trying to play a game like Sensible World of Soccer I can’t skip the intro I’m pretty sure on an original Amiga this was just the enter key, I’ve tried every key on the keyboard including fn variants and it won’t skip, interestingly once the intro has played out I can use the enter key to navigate through the menus, etc fine.
The same also occurs when trying to play Super Skidmarks there’d be a key to press to say you are ready to drop the car on the track, I don’t seem to be able to trigger this key to do so.
When setting up Pimiga as per the readme I selected a UK keyboard locale, could that be something to do with it?
I also occasionally get an error: Exception “Line 1111 Emulator” ($2C) at $410006 that kicks me out of games,
Any help on these would be much appreciated.
    Thank you,

    • @ChrisEdwardsRestoration
      @ChrisEdwardsRestoration  Год назад

yeah the emulator error is from a newer version of whdload, you can update it from whdload dot de and see if it clears up but i just click relaunch. there was a pinned fix for that in the dis cord. as far as no keyboard mapping, the uk keyboard should work just make sure both sides use it
      linux and the pimiga locals

Working with DrawBridge is a great feature.
There are actually stls available to print an A600 case. If you mod it a bit, this might be the optimal case for the Pimiga. You might include a floppy drive and an optical drive (to read cover CDs like still available on the Amiga Future magazine). Also there is a mechanical keyboard pcb for the A600 on github and also an A600kb to USB-Adapter. You can generate keycaps with a keycap generator and print it with resin printer (or maybe with FDM and MMU with a 0.15 nozzle, but I have not tryed this). I think doing so would result in the best Amiga emulator physicly, as you do not need much external devices.
You might even include a speaker inside the case.
Should be a much better solution than the A500 mini (but contoller and mouse for the mini might be a good extension). But will certanly be a lot of work, esp. for the keycaps.
