I still write in Superbase. Contact me if you are in the same code :)
Haven't recap my A1200 yet, so I have been rocking the A500mini since launch and am very much looking forward to the Amiga maxi releasing next year 🤘🏻
You presented perfect instruction. Thx
I'm using an A500 Mini with AGS and it's fantastic
Cooll!!😊
Nice to see you are coming back All the best, stay strong and keep it up!
Great to see you back with a new video. I hope the personal issues are resolved. All the best for the holidays and new year.
Can’t to see new Amiga content from you.
Hey! Good to see you again! Love your videos, I felt like you had a bit of a break in doing them? In any case - great to see new video from you mate!
Good information and instructions, thanks! I got back into Amiga heavily this year. I’ve had an A600 since it was released and upgraded it too, but finally this summer I got my dream machine, the A1200. Bought it for a very reasonable price from a friend and it came with the Blizzard 1230 as well. Got it recapped and maintenanced, with an IDE/SD adapter. How nice to finally be gaming with the A1200! I also got a new case and keyboard for it. Nothing wrong with emulation or FPGA, but for me it’s a joy to use real hardware, with a CRT of course.
Great to hear you got your dream machine. A1200 is an awesome machine and with an accelerator it gives you alot of options. Glad you got it recapped and a new case is a great idea, I might need to check those out for mine.
Great to see you back. Looking forward to your 2025 content.
Thank you Mislav. Really appreciate it. :-)
Glad to se you back - always enjoy your videos and often go back to them for reference!
I have been dealing with alot of personal issues this year. It meant I wasn't in the right mind frame to make videos. I know that this video will not be up to my normal standard but it's a start and I wanted to get something out before the end of the year. I'm sorry to my dedicated supporters who have been donating and not getting anything in return. I really appreciate you. I look forward to saying goodbye to 2024 and for things to hopefully get better and get back to making videos which I did enjoy.
Ow, I see - I just thought you took a break... Well, I hope 2025 will proof to be better to you in all possible aspects! Much love from Mexico!
It seems these instructions do not work with AGS v2.6. The AGS_FS-UAE.zip file does not exist in the archive.
2.6 just came out. It has support for the Amiga 500 Mini.
I'm going to try this as soon as I have time. If this works, that would be remarkable given the issues we always used to have with the Datasette heads going out of alignment over time, requiring manual head adjustment using a small screwdriver.
I actually had a similar reason for wanting an Alphasmart of some model, something a little more spartan that doesn't have an addiction to the internet. For now, I have an old laptop whose WiFi adapter remains off and PyRoom on Linux for that purpose, but the additional battery life would be a diving save for any bouts of writer's block I might encounter.
Will it work with an original Amiga 500 internal floppy drive?
Amiga emulation be like: Step 1: Install winUAE Step 2: Buy expensive af roms (or keygen it like a boss)
I remember a program called Vizawrite. It was one of the early text processors, when printers were controlled by raw text lines plus markup options.
Does it support save states?
its WHD Load, i think no...
@@xomkong It does but it's a bit glitchy, you have to be in the specific game before loading
Thank you for the video. I guess I'm a superfrog as I had an A600 back in the day and just want something I can play the old amiga games on. However amongst my favourites were lemmings and lotus turbo challenge. Is it possible to download extra games such as these to play?
Thats stunning👍
needs to boot to workbench
when i want to extract the whdload lha x whdload_usr_small.lha it bring me a Message.... lha: unknown command
I loved Twinworld by Blue Byte. A very lovely designed platformer where the main character is aging while progressing. Nice music and sfx too.
Massively useful! Thank you! Most things I know about WinUAE is from your videos :) Hope you are ok and will keep on doing videos. Sort of silent in the next few months... Greetings from Mexico!
Thanks for the video, mate!
I Installed the AmigAAMP3 after opened the program, When I choose a music, crash
Wow, i am definitely late to the party lol. I hope someone can help - I've gone through all the steps for the emulater but i have had no luck in playing Cadaver, it keeps coming up with an error when it asks to load a disk, presumably Levels - I hope someone can help as i would love to play this game. Thanks in advance.
And do You have a video how to install the bar to use with programs ?
HI Mikey, how are you ? Do you have a video how to install the Opus ?
Do You have a program with invisibility to use with the Menus ?
Recently purchased the mini amiga with a usb with 1600 extra games, whilst the ones I’ve tried load up many of the mouse controlled games on the usb stick cannot be played because the mouse cursor simply won’t move on screen. If anyone has the same problem and have sussed out how to remedy this please enlighten me?
My first ever computer was a 2000 with a 53mb hdd lol imagine trying to exist with that size these days :)
Followed along, mostly, because my system is Linux. Thanks for the guide!
The top two things to do for game compatibility is to pop in an 8372A Agnus chip if you don't already have one in there and add in the extra 512K in the trap door. That's what most devs were looking for back in the day. As long as you take good care of your diskettes, you can keep on using them. ADF2Disk is a pretty slick little utility so re-writing to them is a snap. Oh, and a second diskette drive, assuming you aren't going the Gotek route. The rest is just icing on the cake.
Thanks for the guide! Would this workbench work in an Amiga 500 or do I need to follow a different process in WinUAE?
help's with amikit as for somereason it doesnt like to work with lha for whdload so its better for updating whdload etc
Great vid just got this so not use to using it just starting out as having issues trying to read and write a copy of my StreetFighter 2 disks. Any chance of doing a vid on writing disks as I've managed to read the disks but so far not been able to write them back to disk as I'm trying to make a backup of the disk format.
All running on essentially 1985 hardware.
Fsguae is 64 bits only, it's a pain to find 32 bits software for whdload for the old windows 7 on eeepc.
it miss a quit key for whdload binded on amigacd32 pad for exemple, no keyboard anymore
Nice one, would work well with octamed and an external synth
Now using WinUAE 5.3.0. I can record video just fine, but because of the variable frame rate there is serious audio drift on longer videos. I recorded a no death run of the platform game Premiere for my channel, but by the end the audio has drifted by about 3 seconds, so I don't want to upload it. Is there any way to make it record at a fixed frame rate?
I bought one of these when they first came out, back when I had a better job and disposable income. Haven't really used it since. My take is, it's great if you grew up with an Amiga and want to relive some of that nostalgia. If you're like me, and didn't have one, it's just "meh". Definitely not worth the price if you're not a huge Amiga fan already. If you want to know if you'll like Amiga games enough to get one, try an emulator first.
Back in 91 I was in the market for a computer. A friend suggested that I buy and Amiga with an PC card. However, anyone that I knew who owned and Amiga used it exclusively to play games, so I was somewhat reluctant. I ended up buying a PC laptop. Nevertheless, I was awestruck when I saw the A3000 and A4000 on display In a large department store and what they were capable of. The price, though, was more than I could afford at the time. Years later, I ended up emulating the A4000 on a dedicated PC and I still have the disc images just begging for another go and I even bought a boxed set of Wordsworth 7, manual and all.
hi, do you know how to solve the screen size problem? on my tv i can't see correctly, all the edges are missing. I tried to change the settings starting with AGS Pandory then F12 and setting 1920x180 full screen but nothing changes... :(
Legally legally, 30 years later for a few users...
FluxMyFluffyFloppy missing the exe file anyone help?
