"sounds that seem tiny or insignificant to us to your cat it's like someone blasting a fog horn in their ear" Google, never ever recommend this channel to me again.
For my cat it's the start of "time" by Pink Floyd dark side of the moon, the second all the alarm clocks go off in the song my cat acts like an insane person in total confusion lol
My cat didn't like the sound of a vacuum cleaner. When our housekeeper used one, the plug would keep 'falling out.' (She thought.) Then she caught the cat pulling out the plug. I told her---do you think an electronics professor's cat might understand how electric outlets work? This guy learns a lot by observation. She was skeptical, until he did it again. Then I told him "Don't do that when this lady is using the cleaner to clean up the carpets." The cleaning lady didn't think that advice would be enough, but he never did it again. He understood every word i said, and regarded my word as law... This is true; ask anybody in my family...
Having done a lot of renovation on the house and work with power tools, my cat has come to associate electric cables with loud noise. I don't need to get the actual tool out, just unwinding an extension cord and plugging it in is enough for the cat to conclude it's going to be noisy so keep out of the way.

Haha! That must be funny!
Why would I want to freak out my cat? I wouldn't want a loud foghorn in MY ear.
