She killed a character they we all bonded with after all these years, but Joel is not innocent, and it’s time we stop pretending like he is. Joel did what HE thought was right, but he was ultimately being selfish, because he didn’t want to let Ellie go. Them walking away at the end stops that cycle of needless suffering and revenge. If you still wanted to kill her after all that, it says more about you as a person. Don’t say the game is horrible just because y’all don’t get it, and are blinded by your bias for Joel.

When you are in a fight and your body is drugging you with loads of adrenaline you cant just stop. This is a fight or flight moment, if you stop you will die. Noone would be able to behave rational.

Look, if you have such a problem with the game and it's trailers that you feel the need to nitpick about a decision that was meant to create a better gaming experience for you and make what happened an ACTUAL surprise, you can do so. Just know that it won't change anything and Joel was with Ellie every step of the way in the form of an emotional burden.
