Audio levels could be more consistent in a few places. Also would help to rerecord some of your lines as some sentences seem a little slurred and difficult to understand. Learn to annunciate better instead of powering through your lines as fast as possible. Maybe cut out more of the dead space in between some of the lines as well although that was only really an issue near the beginning of the video. Otherwise, looks good!
Oh jeez, thanks! Yeah, I'm going to make sure to look up some more tutorials on how to voice act for the next one. It also doesn't help I was far more nervous than I needed to be recording all this. I'm going to make sure the next one will be far better, starting to get used to recording instead of feeling weirdly embarassed about talking to myself in my own room. The Intros too I'm going to make sure to speed up in the future, I was trying a bit too much to make this feel like a true "official" set up. One of my favorite RUclipsrs commenting on my first video is definitely an awesome inspiration.
Y'know, this was actually a really comprehensive review, and I appreciate that. No too deep that it drags on forever, decent voice all things considered (I've heard much, much worse. So many reviewers talk with their mouths full of spit) but the animations are a bit awkward, bar the little one at the end. It was good. I dunno man, I liked it. I might stick around, so, good job.
Tbh this is a very good channel and it should have more subs, only thing that is bad is that the new videos are too long they shoud be like this one around 15 min
First of all, whoa, whoa, whoa! The first game is not forgettable, it's terrific, and this just added on to it, while making some much needed adjustments. Although, biggest complaint is that Rohan got merged with Gondor in this. And the campaign, the movie missions are great, but yeah, as you mentioned, in between them, it's just a grind to either strengthen your army (mainly for Good since you'll need Level 10 units to hold out at the Black Gate) or just to truly conquer everything (Evil, since their units are expendable and there's little need to have them experienced). Other than that, yeah, solid review, although, it's one of the only ones since almost no one else has done a review of these games.
I think the amount of grind missions is just what really hurts the story more than anything else, and the Evil factions really felt out of balance with the Good factions even with your standard Zerg Rush tactics. I remember enjoying the heck out of it when I was younger but going back to it now, hoo boy that game has some issues. I also do wish they had kept Rohan and Gondor as seperate factions, but to me it's a minor thing at best since it gives the Human faction more to work with in general. Either way though, thank you! I'm honestly surprised these games haven't been reviewed more since LOTR is the perfect setting for an RTS, and even the first one still has some really fun moments.
@@ReviewShark im surprised wb hasnt tried to get the rights to the game so they cam make a new one could you imagine after shadow of war how much money they would make on BFME 3. Or tried to make a game similar. I think the fans would be happy with a game inspired by BFME 2 rather then nothing
I think it's a bit more apparent in the expansion, but even then it mostly just sounds like music from the movies, which honestly is pretty impressive that they nailed the feel so well. You're right though, probably still should have mentioned that.
It's fair for more regular missions, but bringing your army with you into more scripted missions would be much harder to balance. Bringing your army with you in the regular missions of BFME 1 tended to just make them kind of boring curbstomps most of the time.
Great review, though I personally found it a bit hard to follow at points due to how fast you were talking. Also audio was a bit unbalanced in a few spots, otherwise, great job dude!
My biggest critiques are mostly nitpicks. First the pace of the video is very fast, by which I mean you're talking very quickly. This isn't exactly a make or break issue it can just make certain sections of the video slightly difficult to follow, especially if you say something that might not make a bunch of sense to the viewer at first. Second I think you should have established a different frame of reference than the first game, since you glossed over it at the start and explained why it wasn't worth talking about then compared BfME2 to it throughout the video. I won't comment on the numerical score because I'm sure you had a reason for including one.
Thanks for the feedback! I realized when editing I was talking way too fast, I'll do my best to slow it down in the future. Hopefully making more of these and getting more comfortable with the idea of recording my voice will help. Also...Didn't even think of that. I hadn't intended to go into much depth with it and just hoped the general small comparisons wouldn't need much explaining on but looking back I do see what you mean. The numerical score is just a general sumup. I debated forever on how to add one without it being too generic but I'm not sure there is a way to do one without just being a parody. I'm going to at least theme it per episode to make it slightly more interesting.
@@ReviewShark yeah I understand there really isn't an easy or original way to do a numerical score, which I think is why a lot of review channels I've seen kinda just don't bother or refuse to take the "final score" very seriously.
Well, while not legal, the best place for the game, although without cutscenes, is forshire.blogspot.com/p/download-bfme-ii.html Hey, if they ain't gonna sell the game, they aren't technically losing money on this, so it's not piracy.
The Original is pretty forgettable... Wait what??? My friend I know you are entitled to your own opinion but a statement like that is very inaccurate... The game was so good that is even being remade by fans, and it looking good, now when it comes to Part II I know they improved a lot of core gameplay mechanics and expanded the upon the first but remember if the first one wasn't widely loved by the fans I don't believe you would have seen a sequel. FYI: ruclips.net/video/rutLaalKceA/видео.html&ab_channel=Resonant
I was being a bit hyperbolic there admittedly, I still like the first game but I more meant that the second game blows it out of the water more than anything else. Outside of the big battles from the movies, the game's missions get a bit stale and the balance is wonky. When the first game has more focus, it's pretty dang good, it just doesn't have it nearly often enough for my liking to where it feels more like "Play it for the movie stuff, pass the rest". I still give it MASSIVE credit for actually being a good RTS though, we don't get enough of those. Especially ones based around movies. That mod does look pretty rad though, holy shit.
@@ReviewShark well technically is a remake in UE4, EA hasn't stopped it because they don't own the rights anymore which I'm super happy about know how greedy they gotten after the 2010s... Now don't get lazy and stop posting reviews, you got something going on here, keep it up...

Overall a great review. Makes me wish my laptop wasn’t so crappy so I can run a game like this! Looking forward to more!
You can't/couldn't run a game from 2006 on your laptop?
Man I wish this game was on steam or something. Finding hard copies of old games like this (at a decent price) is a pain
Same. It'd be nice to have more centralized multiplayer as well rather than having use Game Ranger or Voobly.
Can you review zig & sharko (or at least sharko)?
Great review. For now, I won't report you for child abuse...for now >:)
Also your animation looks great. You've really improved.
Interesting review, tho audio quality need some work. Speed at wich your vice is played is quite odd, feels a too fast.

Little nitpick. There is original Music made for the games that plays but I think it's very neatly woven into the film music that it's hard to tell.

@@ReviewShark No worries man. I thought this was a really good detailed review regardless. Do keep it up!
@@dr.feelgoodmalusphillips2475 Thank you!
I really enjoyed both games, but 1 thing BFME 1 did objectively better was the ability to take your army with you.
It's fair for more regular missions, but bringing your army with you into more scripted missions would be much harder to balance. Bringing your army with you in the regular missions of BFME 1 tended to just make them kind of boring curbstomps most of the time.
good review man!! but in my opinion i like bfme 1 better. Only the update versions and mods are balanced though.

I must be really weird because I very much enjoyed the skirmish missions in the original campaign, but not so much the scripted hero missions.
Love it!
