I you program this unit for an ON time that has already passed for the day (Program it to turn on at 5pm, but it is already 5:10 pm) it will show Auto Off when you're done programming. It will NOT turn on after programming until the next ON time.
Having the same problem, thanks for the clarification. I just couldn't wrap my mind around why it wasn't turning. How dumb of a feature is that. Seriously!
I think the instructions were pretty good! I do wonder, however: once it is programmed "in my house" will I have to do it over if I plug it in to a different outlet?
Whoa! Just answered my own question! I set it all up in the house; then took it to the cold outdoors, and it worked... Instructions in the video really worked for me!
@@HIGHER7RUTH Hi! You can cycle through the different modes to determine the program. Go to 1:49 in his video above. 1st you'll see a little circle (like a clock with hands at 12:15 and RDM above it, then at 1:50 in the video, the same icon with "auto", next @ 1:53- the dusk/dawn icon replaces the circle with a moon & sun, finally- 1:58 the clock face + the dusk/dawn icon. I chose what time I wanted it to turn on and off [second to the last mode]. When you set your times, do watch the AM/PM settings. If, for example, you want to turn things on at 5 PM, go through your 1 through 12 and recycle to the second set of 1-12 for PM. Does that make sense??? Watch it a few times. Be prepared to pause and replay.
I have the auto mode problem. It’s 4pm. Just like the video, you set the time 8am on, 10pm off. It shows off (like the video). Hopefully, it will cycle tomorrow and actually turn my device on/off automatically.
Unfortunately when you set up auto it doesn't turn on until the time comes back around. I've got to leave town for a week so who knows if it's going to actually work.
This design is beyond stupid. If you set it to work on a timeframe and you have already passed the ON start time, it will NOT START until tomorrow's ON time. This is such a basic design mistake, that should have never existed in the first place.
Does anyone know how you switch between the 8 on/off program settings in the AUTO mode? I have three different settings but I cannot figure out how to change from 1 to 2 to 3! Thanks!
I have the tm-108 digital timer. I reset my timer initially and started to program the auto timer. I have 6pm on and 12pm off for everyday of the week. However after I was done the timer stayed in the off position even though I have it on the auto setting. Do you have any ideas or tips on how I can get it to work?
My understanding is that it must cycle a full 24 hours before it will automatically turn on, so on the first day you will have to manually turn it on and off with the mode button.
WHY???? "The device must be mounted in a vertical position... with the receptacle at least 1.4 m above ground level. WHY? Does that mean GROUND as in dirt, or above any surface? My outlet is inches above a concrete porch floor, but a few feet above ground.
Important!! When programming this the program starts in the off position until the next ON period starts. For example: let’s say it’s 9am when you are setting up your first program. if you set a timer to turn on at 6am on off at 12pm your light will be off until the next day at 6am.
I'm having the opposite. It is 3:00 pm and I want the timer OFF until 4:30 pm, but it refuses to be off. Now I sit with it on to see if it will go off at the time I want it to go on, or if it stays on and then hopefully goes off the next morning when I want it to. Crazy!
Wasted money since the programming is difficult at best and worse the timer won't go into the on auto mode during the day when most people set their timers. Is anyone awake?
It's that time of year again and I'm so thankful for this refresher course !!! Great video !!
Every year at Christmas I come back to this tutorial. One of the best step by step. Thanks for creating!!!
Thank you! We had lost the manual and your directions were perfect!
Thank you, was going crazy trying to set this thing.

Thanks for this comment! I couldnt figure out why it was not coming on after programming but it was past the time
Why the hell does it not turn on! So illogical in my opinion.
THANK YOU.
Yes thank you, what a crazy set up...

I’m curious how do you choose the program you want out of the 6 times you set?

Yes Thanx you really helped;
PRECIATED❤️
Thank you!🙏
Thank you for the help! The manual isn't nearly as user friendly
A dude with pretty nails
Thanks a lot for the video!!

Did this cycle and turn on your device? I’m in the same boat.

Thank you so much it was so usefull 😉
Mine has worked perfectly .
This timer sucks. You know you have a horrible product when the instructions are unreadable and the programming is illogical.
Thanks very much!
great job thx
Mine is as old as this video and I'm just now getting around to figuring it out😅

The automatic mode is not working... can someone help?
You growing trees to? loll
Yeah it’s kinda confusing...
I don’t even know how to choose the program I want. 🙈
Thanks for this.

Does it have to use its photocell to function?
Anyone have a link to a manual for this model?
Clear as mud. Afraid to slow down so I could actually see what you are doing. Thought this was going to be helpful.

I came across the same issue. Did you figure out what happened?
I thought mine was off too but it only meant that it was currently in the off mode due to what time it was while I was setting it.
My understanding is that it must cycle a full 24 hours before it will automatically turn on, so on the first day you will have to manually turn it on and off with the mode button.

can you use the updated model please?
This is the latest one.

ECO Plugs, now it's not.
