miss julia could we have like 5 min makeup look for a college student? always trying to figure out a super natural but elevated look that's fast for someone w acne prone skin!!!! also would love to see like hair/skin/body care routines and faves!!! also I'm always in awe of your eye makeup and how effortlessly you build looks and wing out eyeliner maybe like an eye makeup basics series?
College girl makeup 1. Instead of using foundation use concealer for all over the face, it covers but is quick and if you have spots use the concealer to specifically target them use 2. Use a powder foundation to reduce the shine and it adds more coverage to hide blemishes ( don’t use it on healing acne though and please moisturize your face before) 2. Use a tinted brow gel, it is quick and easy 3. Use a lip tint, it is long lasting but still natural looking and you can technically use it as blush as well ( please be careful if you have sensitive skin) 4, when applying powder blush take it all over your eyelid as well, it is a quick and easy eye look that ties everything together Hope that helps 🩷
For me my bare bones is a tinted moisturizer, clear brow gel, an eyelash curler and tubing mascara, and any blush you like on the cheeks and a lip tint or tinted balm- whichever you prefer! If you're oily I'd also powder and set with a setting spray.
Literally if I did a look it would be called "A full face of Julia's recommendations"... I may have crossed the line from collector to hoarder as I buy a lot of your recommendations, and let me tell you why... You are honest, you are genuine, you are creative (and adaptable), you are a phenomenal teacher, you are delightful, and even your kitty's are adorable... 2023 has been my 'Year of Julia' and I couldn't be happier... Looking forward to 2024!!
Yes finally someone who uses Clinique foundation!! I have been using Clinique Even Better Makeup since I was 16 (I'm 23 now) I used to have terrible acne back then and this was the only foundation that didn't cause irritation. I like to try new things but I keep coming back to it! It is just perfect, second skin effect which is not so easy to find. So glad you love it too, Julia!
This might be weird but I love watching your videos when it’s time to get sleepy. Something about your voice calms my anxiety and helps me get tired 😅. Usually takes me two watches to get through a whole video because I start passing out. I don’t think you’re boring, I swear! I’ve been subscribed for years and definitely enjoy your content.
You put me on to the MBM bronzer, and the givenchy powder this year- I picked them up on sale recently (I only got a baby size of the prism libre powder, wasn't sure i would love it or not) and they're both such lovely formulas. I'd definitely get a full size of the givenchy if I ever run out, but I only use it under my eyes and in my smile lines and I don't think I'll run out before the next holiday season so maybe I'll be alright lol
Omg I just ❤❤ your eye looks, I wish I can do nearly as good as you do… they are so neatly done and looks so so chic and classy.. these type of looks look best on you 👌👌
Gorgeous! My favorite color corrector is Charlotte Tilbury. I can’t find a concealer that stays on, so many look flawless and within an hour it’s like gone even though I wear glasses that cover the area! Ugh!
your looks never miss! i am so grateful for your videos. I always admire how white your teeth are. Do you mind sharing what you do to keep them so white?
I did a box of Crest white strips )the 1hr ones) a few years ago then I kept it up by using one strip every few months and I use the sensodyne brilliant white toothpaste
I have several that overlap with you mainly because you recommended them! Top favs for me are the Makeup by Mario Skin Enhancer and the Ethereal Pallett! Huda Beauty Powder (I like the Givenchy but I go for Huda more). I love Rare Beauty Blush, Markeup by Mario Soft Pop Blushes, or Nude Stix cream blushes, but I did get a couple Gucci per you rec and also have them in the rotation too. I like the Fenty Matchstick for contour. I have too many lip options to pick a favorite, since I change up the color, but I do consistently use Laneige at night :). Foundation and concealer are NARS, while I have tried some others, none have been better than NARS for me.
Watching you do eyes is so mesmerizing, you have such awe inducing techniques and you are so incredibly talented. I would die to have my makeup done by you. I wish I could sit and play in makeup with you, be able to learn a few things from you in person in regards to my eyes and how I could be better when applying to myself and being able to feel beautiful and less restricted with my eye makeup. God you're great.
I wonder what the shift was for the CT Flawless Filter. When products light me up, I usually can't go back and try them again. RIP all purple eye shadows and liners.
Both great options, from what I can tell the pink in both helps in brightening the complexion and Givenchy is extremely finely milled and lasting so its performance is some of the best out there. I haven't personally used the Huda Beauty option but the Givenchy is exceptionally well regarded and its been blurring, not cakey, light enough under the eyes while smoothing, and wonderful for me personally so I do recommend yet perhaps the Huda may be a more affordable option. There might be other drug store/Sephora pink powders too so maybe look into these before splurging to see if you like them/if they suit you. Good luck!

I’ve got to get my hands on the Mario bronzer, I’m putting it on my Christmas list from the hubby!! I can’t take it anymore😂😂 I don’t really need another bronzer but it’s a must have as of now😂😂This look is gorgeous, I need to recreate ASAP!
Great video, Julia ❤ space cowboy is always sold out in Australia but it's in my wish list. P.s. elf please send her a bucket of lip liner that would be so cool.
You got me into Chaz Tilbury's Flawless Filter and it's now my main go-to! Question- is the gel-like eyeliner in this vid from the Patrick Ta eyeshadows or is it something else? :* Thank you!!
@@JuliaAdamsMUA Yay! Thank you- also how is your Ta palette doing these days? I want one but I've read lots of reviews involving it getting a little on the moldy side/not lasting :( On the hunt for the most blendable eyeshadow kit- sorry to question bomb you! Appreciate all your help 😘
Thanks for comparing the two Clinique foundations, I have the egg one but it is oxidizing on me and I will probably have to throw it away 🥺 I keep trying but it’s like 4 shades too deep now and orange. Less than a year old. I Wonder why yours didn’t oxidize??!! It’s never happened to me with a Clinique formula… I did like it though. My fav foundation is the Mac face and body tint, but I keep trying others as it’s a little light in the coverage department. Make up forever is okay, Haus Labs is ok, Beauty Blender skin tint is ok, Nyx is ok…no clear winner for me yet
You always talk about how the makeup by Mario bronzer is so easy and trustworthy. You should do a video of a full face of products you'd trust to do without a mirror or something 🤔
I swear in one of Tati’s recent videos she mentions a youtuber named Julia Adams that she watches…I take it that’s you???! If so, what a well-deserved shoutout to a special person. Wow!! 😊❤ PS-love your sense of humor 😂😂
I am not sure what your skin type is or not but sometimes certain products work better if specifically geared for your skin type/concern - aka if you have more dry or oily skin you may experience different results and its a good idea to research which foundations and primers suit which skin type best as well as which ones suit your preference, budget, aesthetic, etc. However the main point: Your The Elf Grip primer is water based and oil free, its not a silicone primer. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is silicone based. So these formulations will clash/not work together because water/oil separate. Ideally you will only use a water-based primer with a water-based foundation and do the same with a silicone primer and foundation Also experiment if the foundation applies more seamlessly with your fingers, a damp beauty blender sponge, or a foundation brush because sometimes certain application methods assist in making a smoother/less patchy experience. For instance, the Shiseido Light Reflecting Foundation was separating on my skin due to my sunscreen and wasn't being helped by my finger application and it took me forever to realize this. When I switched sunscreens (I used Lancome's which has been nice for me but you don't need to splurge on an option like this, just wanted to share that whatever is in their formula worked well under my makeup) and when I applied with a damp beauty blender I finally achieved the glowing and smooth effect many others were claiming. Not sure if its just what works best for this foundation or if most foundations get a smoother effect with the blender/brush but its worth trying out for yourself to see if a brush/blender/fingers get you better results Its all a journey and experimentation so don't give up! Hopefully taking the time to research what types your primers, foundations, and application methods are will be the best place to start and this will go a long way in helping you figure out what works for you. Always suggest to research product types/reviews prior to buying so you can make an informed and strategic decision and not waste your time and money. Best wishes, hope this helps!
Girl this is so off topic but I was going through Hasan's tiktok the other day and saw that you'd commented on one of them and it felt like two universes crashing together and pulverizing all forms of matter and energy into a primordial ocean of buzzing quarks
The Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter packaging is a disaster. They need to come out with a pump, first of all, though that's controversial. The product gets all over the cap, and the lettering flakes off everywhere. I think it's something about the paint they use on the glass or the oil from our hands lifting it up. But yeah, that lettering has flaked off onto my other makeup, my hands, face, it's the gift that keeps on giving 😂
