I grew up poor in a rural area, so farming, animal care, sewing, etc were just everyday life skills - useful stuff for a post-apocolypse world. Also, since I can't run at all, if the group needed to get away from zombies I could be the one that stays behind and holds off the horde in a dramatic blaze of sacrificial glory. Just promise to tell my story to all the little baby bears around the fire after I'm gone. 😉

This gives me the vibe of virtual villagers meets stardew valley...if you havn't played virtual villagers its really fun but it takes a long time to complete the game.
2:23:38 hey morph! happy to see you doing a playthrough of this game! i'm playing through it myself and I've found that in the early game, the best way to get contribution points is to fish and dry them. smoking the fish gets you a little less than drying. idk about the late-game points since I haven't gotten that far yet. the fish typically takes about 4 hrs to dry so I usually keep one or two of them by my fishing spot so that I can easily change out them once they're done. crops don't really net you much so I just stockpiled mine to cook dishes for stamina. a really cheap dish to make just costs three vegetables. you can invite the animals to live with you and keep them in an animal shed. their products do give quite a bit too but it's slow going since they take so long to reproduce the item.
Morph legit 9 out of 10 games you introduce us to are my cup of tea. i am one of the few that never liked stardew valley - this feels way more my speed

Dude, they had some insanely awesome pan flute music in the 90s. I used to listen to this one CD. I can't remember the artist, though. I LOVED it, though. There's just something special about the pan flute that seems to hit almost everyone in some meaningful way.

I love the idea of a lot of land with animals (capybaras!), but having a whole farm is a great deal of work. So quite honestly, my ideal would be my distant neighbors have all the animals and I visit and play and help out when I want. I wouldn't mind having the animals escape and come visit me on my land as well. I want the first invite to your island. I offer my skills as a nurse. 😊
