the bureaucracy & taxes with the German government are insane too. I'd like a non biased take on that. It would be so much simpler if everyone could just buy & import whichever spec they like but the politics of it all would probably be too negative of a topic.
It's crazy how there are entire industries all around US military bases overseas that exclusively cater to feds & military war industry personnel (TDY housing). The gov. employees contribute nothing to society, theyre a massive tax burden, & they have no business being stationed overseas in most cases. But theyre overpaid & good for local businesses so the revolving door never ends.
