Same here!!!! I kept asking my grandmother where the vhs went. This was my favorite version of Peter Pan….now I know the info…I’m going to order it🫶🏾🙌🏾🫶🏾
I'm here after watching Tom Cruise's stunt at the 2024 Olympics. I immediately thought of Mary Martin. As a little kid, her flying as Peter Pan was magical. She did it every night on Broadway over 150 times.
I'm flyin! saw it when I was a kid......still one of the great moments in any American musical. Love you Mary Martin where ever you are. You gave us a lot!!!!!! Still a great show for kids of every age. Later versions not very good. C. Walken as captain Hook? not a chance.
Mary Martin won a Tony award in 1959 when she started as Maria in the original Broadway production of The Sound of Music. She originated the role of Nellie Forbudh in South Pacific on Broadway. She was Larry Hagman's mother. He was JR in Dallas, and Tony Nelson in I Dream of Jeanie.
People say drag will ruin children's lives but this movie was a shining star in my childhood. So much better than the garbage they wanted me to watch on TV in the 90s.
Omgthis is total nostalgia seeing this on RUclips vs my old vhs tape of this as a child!!!! I’ve been looking for this for ages
It's looks like really real life look like really remember it being called back
It's looks like new ride I just love it so much it's looks good to see it on New year would be there

And she originated the role of Peter Pan.
Mary Martin also won Tonys for _South Pacific_ and _Peter Pan._
I love the flying song from the play: Peter Pan, a lot!
Michael is so sweet!

This is not at all the same thing as those drag queen freaks indoctrinating children at libraries.
What on earth does drag have do with the musical Peter Pan!? Just sayin'.
@@LorettaLong-pr3wgI think it’s because the character of Peter Pan is played by a woman. Kind of a reverse drag act where a woman plays a male.
😂👍👍👍👏👏👏👏Flying!!
It was fun
