Incredibly touching, man. I have a 3.5 yr old boy, and the pandemic has been so hard, confusing, and isolating for him, too. He’s back in daycare now, though, and being around other kids has been great for him. Thanks for “tricking me into watching a family film”.
Thanks a lot for making this channel. I’m a young man, and I have finally learned that I found my passion. Story telling through film. We all have a story. Watching this made me happy, thanks a lot. After 9 years of military service I finally can tell my story and others in a cinematic way. Thank you again!
A lot of charisma here. Totally agree with your point, humanly and technically. It's so relieving to know you share mindset with "unknown" people from the other side of the planet. Especially during this period. I've subscribed with joy. Thanks from Italy!
Hi, I just came across your channel while researching the 35mm f1.8. Just wanted to say great job on that beautiful intro! Thanks for the info and commentary, I'll be ordering my own 35mm in the near future.
My wife and I have a 6-year-old daughter. Her little sister was just born on Jan 20. Staying home and e-learning without seeing her friends face to face has been difficult for her for sure. I came here because I did a search on the 35mm 1.8 Sony lens as I'm thinking of buying it, and your intro hit me like a ton of bricks. Subscribed.
This is a beautifully done video, both visually as well as in words and voiceover. It is absolutely gorgeous and has a meaningful message for anyone. 😃❤
The opening made me cry and I'm a full grown man. My girl is just past 2 so experiencing many of the same things. Daughters will turn you into a softy.
Yess! Honestly my favorite lens! I was hesitant to buy it at first bit ih am i glad i did. I use it both for photography and videos! Awesome work boss man! Im also saving to get that sigma 24-70mm you use.
That was a superbly beautiful intro Vu. Tasteful and elegant. I've just bought my 35mm 1.8, was thinking of selling it for the 1.4GM, but now I'm not so sure. The 1.8 looks fantastic, I really like the character. I've subscribed. Look forward to seeing more of your work.
Beautiful script Vu 👍 I did once shoot an entire wedding for a friend on a 35mm F2. It actually worked out great and I felt great at the end because my camera and lens where so light and I could work so fast. I actually didn't feel fatigued at the end. I only agreed to shoot it if I could do this.
she missed the chance to play with friends, but earned a good year been with the parents....which most grownups regret not having enough time with their parents.... especially me, been aways from home for 7years which planned to go back this sept for my elder brother's wedding and that got taken away by the pandemic. came oversea to learn filming but can't film enough of those one i loved the most. I got all best lenses i need....but never the best time...
Do you still recommend the 1.8 today? Hear that the 1.4 GM has focus breathing, so maybe it's still the best? Also just curious--what picture profile did you shoot the opening video in? Looks great!
I film in slog. I still recommend the 35 f1.8. However, for photos the 35gm is unbeatable. Even for video if you don't do things that can cause focus breathing like rack focusing etc.. the 35gm is still the best image
Spectacular! Wait till you see her reaction in 15 years. That stabilization is surprisingly working well. I thought that you were on a Crane 2. Couple of bumps but I get them with the Crane 2. Great dolly up shot with the fence and sun reveal. Did you have a hard time with exposure of sun and areas not lit by sun? That latitude is really making me go up from the A7III.
If you could get the 24 1.4 or the 35 1.8 with price being equal, what would you use or recommend? I already have the 35 which is amazing but I have the opportunity to do almost an even trade for the 24. Would it be worth it?
@@ainnelrosirrosias3338 I actually sold both my 20mm and 35mm to get the 24GM. Ended up being less expensive overall. Did a review on my channel comparing the 24 and 20. Thank goodness the A7IV has breathing compensation as I can really enjoy using the 24mm as the 35 had no breathing. Also the A7IV over samples it’s 1080p Crop mode which I shoot with giving me my 35mm look
I got the Sigma 14-24 f2.8, the Sony 35mm f1.8 and the Sony 85mm f1.8, and now I'm broke and need to make money with this gear. For paying work that'll do for now, but I'm curious about good longer lenses. I shoot stills, video, and slider and gimbal work. What do you reckon?
Why 9 dislikes? I get it if the video is genuinely offensive in some way but seriously have people got nothing better to do than piss on others, seriously pathetic. On a more positive note, another great video!👍 This lens is on my list!
