Why sinked ya ask?
1.the Weight is not the same as the other make it lose buoyancy and sinks
2.your big waves
3.the buoy is made of seperate lego and water will Search anyy hole that he can find

@@Stryker_1 Yes, The reason is because, most lego bricks have a space on the bottom and top. And when connected, they will have a small amount of air between each brick, thus, causing some more floating time.

I'm guessing that coast guard plane is the newer one because I used to have a coast guard plane from 2012 and it was much longer than that one and could actually float a lot better that the one you tested
