  • A fast look at my Bangkok apartment. It's a little larger than normal at 52m. I pay 19,000b, but that's a pretty nice deal. I've had the place a few years. My condo is in the Phrom Phong area of Bangkok, Thailand.
On my channel banner above you'll find the current links to my favorite travel credit cards. I try to keep them updated, but please leave me a comment if you need a current link.

Thank you for taking care of the pigeons! It would be great to hear some updates in the future that everything is going well for them. 🐦

Not great new there. There was construction on the floor above. Jackhammers to the tile, I guess. The birds left the nest. I waited about 5 days and they never came back. I took the nest and two eggs downstairs to the security shack. They were standing by in case they hatched.
Also, the floor cleaner fills the planter with water each week. I had to come back to California. So that's the best I could do. To bad. I wanted to see the little guys fly away.

Bangkok is 9th in the world with 49 Billionaires, so yes there is serious money there but also huge equality gap unfortunately. April 5th arrival and looking at Noble Refine pretty excited.

The one good thing about my current base in NYC is the relatively clean air. Bkk air is not healthy for retired older folks.

The air comes and goes. Today it's fine when it rains. And that's 6 months out of the year. It will be bad for a few weeks and back to normal for a few months. It's always fine Most of the guys I see complaining about the air, are saying so as they smoke a cigarette. Ha ha

Having a super car aka a really fast one or a really expensive car, In some countries it makes no sense to have one. Your place is the smallest I could deal with, its not bad sir. You really should wear a mask if you are in traffic. Sometimes the air is so bad, its equivalent of a forest fire. i think i have seen stoves in 40k baht. i don't know if it was in Bangkok. I just hope I can rent a house in less than 6 months

Ya, you can get any size that works for you. But, a real second bedroom will come at a price. Studios are very common. But, it's all here. It just cost money. As far as an oven. I've been in maybe 30 condos in BKK. I've only seen an oven once. A small house or townhouse may have one. My buddy lives in a modest house near Phrom Phong. It's also 250K a month. I'm fine with my toaster oven and 19K a month

Open windows and flies come in and you'll never get them out. I have a magnetic mosquito net across my balcony doors. I'm on floor 22 and the mossies do come up this high.

Ya, it all depends on how close to water you are. I haven't had one fly or mosquito in years. Maybe I'm just lucky
