My dads best buddy from his time in the Navy during the Korean War lived in California and was an A&R representative for Capitol Records. Roland sent me an FM Radio for my birthday and I discovered WABX after growing up with WKNR and CKLW on the AM dial. Dave Dixon was the best. I would turn on the radio softly before I went to sleep and listen all night. Went to the Grande to see Fleetwood Mac and Savoy Brown. Blew my mind hearing Peter Green and Danny Kirwan duel on "Like it This Way". Bought "English Rose" from the Columbia Record Club. 12 vinyl LP's for a penny. Jeremy Spencer was my introduction to the slide guitar and I was a big fan of his contributions to the band. Detroit loved the Fleetwood Mac. What a terrific band and how they have evolved over time with so much great music. Gotta love everything the British Invasion brought to us over the airwaves with the "Air Aces". It is great to see this interview with Jeremy even though it is now 13 years old. Too bad Callahan's is gone. What a great club while it lasted. I saw Samantha Fish there before it closed. Saw her again at the Token Lounge. I see from Wikipedia that as of 2021 Jeremy is still putting out records. Born on the 4th of July. Happy Birthday Jeremy. God Bless you.
