I woke up today with a dream dwelt on the past. It was a nightmare. God bless you, HE showed this video to me upon waking which is much needed. . Indeed we will be constantly at battle with the things we cannot see clearly. May the Holy Spirit reveal these things to us all .

Help me Lord I'm trapped by sin and misery I have no counterpart and I fear the judgement of the Lord but feel as if I have nothing Christ help me and please pray for me
I will pray for you. By the intercession of the Theotokos and all the saints, may God grant mercy on us both, for I am a greater sinner than you…He has revealed that he has an eternal place in paradise for all of us, and the only willpower I have is to either accept the invite or throw it back at God and say “I can do better.” So far I’ve done the latter mostly but I accept His invitation today and pray that you accept yours as well
Our Lord Jesus Christ became a man for your sake. Have you fallen? Ger back up. Ask for forgiveness and go to confession. The message of salvation is the message of repentance.

It is frustrating when people "muu-muu" sympathy for my past, when my purpose in relating the facts are that they are GONE and dead , behind me, and that Christ Jesus gave me wisdom and discernment through the "suffering" .and is what I keep in Thanksgiving to God and His will. It is the Fake sympathy that devours, or attempts to erase our beloved Christ in me, and replace it with a pathetic nutrient-less. emotional, "nostalgic" hunger. I am strong , but ONLY in Christ Jesus. Lord, keep me, an unprofitable servant.
BTW, I have many scars and 30 yr old tattoos, so question and assumptions arise. I do not seek to relate the facts and contexts.

I was dwelling on the past for the last months and became very discouraged and now I overcame with the help of the LORD! I cried to the LORD for help and He became my helper, encourager, refuge, my salvation, now I was lead to see this video for another confirmation!! How much the Father loves us!!!! I am re-reading the psalms! Thank you for being obedient my brothers in Christ! 💗😊

@@OrthodoxTradition The technical issues are an attack of the devil to keep us from hearing and seeing Truth and Wisdom! You are an inspiration to read the Bible, seek the LORD and lead a righteous life making the LORD Number1 in our hearts and all else will be added unto us! Everybody is on their own spirtual journey here on earth and has to learn to forgive, to overcome ego through prayer, worship, reading the Bible, seeking to be filled with the Holy Spirit for guidance. We are lost in vanities of life without Him.

Where is the line between being in a constant state of repentance for our past sins and forgetting them to look to the future?
We must remember that we are sinners, but we put all of our hope on God's forgiveness. "Not dwelling on the past" means that we shouldn't get stuck in the details of the past, which could be a cause of despair, but look towards Christ, our only hope.
Thank you for this. I was awakened very unusually in the night and saw this on my computer. It was something I really need to hear right now, I just wish I could hear it better, or that someone would edit the auto-generated transcript. I can understand if sound equipment is too expensive, but, while the carpentry and art in your church is absolutely amazing, when we're trying to understand what you're saying, being able to see your lips might help us decipher the words.

I am consumed with guilt and shame from my past & I cannot let go of how I’m 44 and regret my whole life. And now it’s too late to change it. Really struggling with this.
No, you can't think like that. Jesus Christ wants your salvation. You can make a new beginning by making a good confession and repentance.

Bring it to our Lord. Make a good examination of consciousness, confess it and repent. It's never to late to make things right. It would be a greater tragedy to continue to live your life and not become a saint. Receive his grace and forgive yourself.
Thank you fr. How can I overcome my fear of rejecting God or ending up in hell which I have sometimes. Usually this is relieved by me praying, but the fear is almost paralysing manifesting physically sometimes when it happens.
Despair is the joy of the devil. Put all of your hope on God. He wants you in Paradise.

Sometimes things in the past hurt and it's hard to move past it. Even though I prayed many times for those people and asked God for forgiveness in my heart I find myself unable to be friends with them any more because of the hurt I experienced. Am I expected to be friends with them again or is it OK to move on without that friendship?
As long as you forgive from your heart, and you parted peacefully, it is not necessary to go out of your way to keep contact. Be peaceful and pray for them, while not judging them.

Some dreams are from the devil. Exorcists claim that demons can influence our dreams . As someone who has experienced this myself, it helped to sleep with a rosary on my neck. As you're orthodox you could try hugging one of those lovely icons while sleeping.
