The most underrated band of the 80's. They deserved much more recognition than they received. Raw talent on all levels...
Could have been as big as van Hallen
Absolutely
In 1988, Vivid went double platinum and reached number 6 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
Do your research before making stupid comments.
I would say their talents were pretty-well honed. I saw them in concert twice. An amazing, amazing band.
@@jumpinjojothey can still be underrated that’s how good they are
Definitely one of the best live performances of any song I've ever seen.
you must be a stupid-ass ~
one of the best song ever written
Vernon Reid is the love child of Hendrix and Van Halen!
bla bla bla
And throw in some nuclear radiation from Chernobyl as well
Who else can sing like this guy? Wow.
Lajon Witherspoon
There are at least some of us that first heard this Song elsewhere, be it through WWE and CM Punk like myself, or GTA like others, but one thing is for sure, we have all come to something truly Special and Amazing.
Definitely in top 10 rock songs of all time! Stands the test of time, great band, amazing real talent.
Always loved this band and this vocalist!! Wish they were still around!! Saw them open for GNR in L.A. They killed!
+Wanda Nowicki they are still playing.
They play AS LIVING COLOUR?? Really?
Will have to google that. Unlikely they will make it to Canada!
+Wanda Nowicki it's about dr martin luther king,burnt out wrestlers don't rate a mention,lol
+Wanda Nowicki Actually, they opened for the 'Stones. GNR were added to the lineup for the 4 L.A. shows only. And, they're still very much around and playing worldwide.
+Fakename70 YES!! That is right! It was the STones! I recall now! GNR ,LIVINGCOLOR and the STONES. I was there. It was great line up.
Vernon gets to jam so much better live than the recorded version.
His style has always been wild and out there. Live performances just allow that to breathe more!
100% late 80's rock badassedness that' has stood the test of time lyrically and musically.
Vernon Reid is an absolute badass on guitar! Super talented and underrated. One of the best axemen of the 80s-90s...if not top 10 all time
not one note was in tune during the solo. Badass? More like bad. I hope you do not teach guitar
I personally think he is kinda all over the place sometimes, his sloppy style feels kinda unimpactful for me. For the albums they have kept things tight but live he loses impact imo. And I'm not a fan of his overcompressed, overprocessed guitar tone. He is a great guitar player and a very creative one, but these things take away from the power in my opinion anyway.
He's good, but FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR from top 10.
One of the very best rock songs from ANY era. Powerful sound and lyrics!
BestInTheWorld
Corey Glover is such an underrated frontman, and he's only gotten better with age
I've seen him twice since June at a place called The Falcon in Marlboro, NY. He's fronting a band called Corey Glover's Soul Experience. He's still got some serious pipes. The band are all really talented.
Corey Glover freakin rock's. I wish I could have been at that show..
From their energy with which they play just blows away, it's amazing how easily they play
They were tight as fk! Drums, bass, guitar and vocals.
this song changed my life.....forever.
Damn almost forgot how freaking good these guys are.
That guitar solo has to be the angriest solo I've ever heard....dig it
💯
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY SHIT, why am I just now hearing this???? My government teacher likes to show us underrated bands and this one was the band of the day, and goddamn is it fab. This is my favourite genre, I can't believe I've never even heard of them.
Follow this song with "Something I learned today" by Husker Du. Album is - Zen Arcade.
I was 19 when it came out on the radio. Loved it. Was quite shocked when I saw them. Assumed they were white, not that it matters. I had a black friend that sang death metal in the mid '80s so...Made me like them more.
I was really surprised, just because I'd never heard of a black rock or metal or anything type band. So when I saw them I was like, wait a second, I thought they were white...? Interesting when that happens. In any case, they're awesome.
Imortal song,,imortal babd didnt get the kudos they deserved ,,i wonder why,,,
Your government teacher fucking rules
It’s insane how underrated living colour is
We don't talk enough about this band man!
I hope they get a piece of the "re-discovery of old bands" cake that is going on rn everywhere with younger people!

Tiempos maravillosos 🤩
Lyrics makes even more sense today.
I love the early footage! Living Colour is one of the greatest bands ever!
