What an awesome young woman. If my girls (6 and 9) grow up to be half as brave and resourceful as you, I'll be an even prouder and happy Dad. Great filming and editing too. Keep up the good work.
I wonder how many young ladies go camping and hiking because of you inspiring videos? You do a wonderful job of filming and editing. Thanks for posting!
Brave girl. I'm 38, a guy, and I find it hard to camp all by myself (mostly because here, in Romania, we have lots of bears). You are inspiring. Keep up the good work. :)
@@agatho00 Very good idea. Even if needed or not. But you have it, if you need it. In Canada there also many wild bears. So they have bear spray with it, if out in the nature.
I think you’re positive spirit is an inspiration to so many of the younger generations and also to people like me who lost their way over the years. Thank you so much 😊
You go girl ! Admire you for going solo, there is nothing to fear in the woods most animals avoid people, I was an outdoor and backpacking guide for years, I like your summer tent, have fun ! 🤗
4 day solo camp/hike... good to see u getting out of your comfort zone, pushing yourself u learn/expierince so much and grow your confidence. Variety, the spice of life... makes for good videos as well... look forward part 2. Cheers from the Canadian north.
What a lovely young lady. I wish her all the best in her adventures and hope she slowly gains the experience and knowledge to venture anywhere in the world.
Beautiful forest, natural silence, the crackle of wood and the warmth of the fire, camping food it is always beautiful, what else do you need for happiness? Videos like yours are very motivating to take a backpack off the shelf and go wandering through the forest trails. And I am one of those people who became involved in tourism after watching a video on RUclips. And you continue to draw me into this hobby more and more..... Thank you for the pleasant atmosphere.
I just picked up the same tent. Made some modifications to it to make pitching quicker. Hopefully when we are off lockdown I can show folks. Not a bad little lightweight starter tent. :). Now looking at upgrading my pack, gear envy never stops! hehe
Thunder and lightning are great when you're warm and cozy in the tent, imo. Other than that, rainy days are bla, but you kinda brighten them up. :) Thank you.
Great 1st vid! Ive been an outdoorsman for a long time in Hawaii and going solo IS crazy! YOU GIRL got what it takes!! Safe travels, keep up what you're doing, Look after yourself, your gear, and keep us posted! Looking forward to your success!
Loving this. I like that you’ve included so much information about what you’re thinking about where to set up camp. I am planning on wild camping in the new year.
I've seen cows chase people and it was really funny to watch. They just get curious but you did exactly the right thing, it was like you have been around some cows for years 😂👍
Look after those hands of your, Becky. One slip of the saw, axe or knife could set you back a few trips. Use a pair of light work gloves to protect them. Better safe than sorry. All the best in your rambles.
Many girls really struggle with a backpack this heavy. Becky for all her concern seems to be very comfortable with her's strapped on (so comfortable she actually leaves it on during breaks in the second video).
Just found your channel and subscribed. Good stuff. I am just starting to hike again after cancer. Your videos are inspirational. Thanks for taking us along.
Osprey packs are great nice and comfortable. Had many of these packs from small to large. Loved them all give them to my friends when I'm done with them.
Nice video and great outing! I don't know if you changed anything to your gear, but as someone who has done a lot of backpacking. Yes, weight helps, but the biggest factor is volume. Also, lightweight is great, but gear that fails 60km from the trailhead in a hike is not great. If I can suggest somethings... The NeoAir Venture is now the one I use for at least 2 years. Great in summer, and unlike the other NeoAir pads, not crinkly and also bombproof with no leaking. I would suggest a lower volume sleeping bad and a one person tent. Alcohol stoves are great and reliable, or any good reliable stove. You could use a smaller stove and carry alcohol separately. Canister stoves are good if the weather is hot, but poor in cool weather aside from 4 season ones. Liquid fuel stoves are useful also, but heavier, but reliable in all weather. You have to be careful though - I had issues with the threading failing on my Pocket Rocket 2 in mid trip with no backups or an Optimus white gas stove where the bottle cap failed for the fuel tank. Not fun. I would suggest a titanium pot - they are indestructible and much lighter and of all expenses definitely worth it. I have tried many but the MSR Titan Kettle is so far my favorite. But the big thing is volume and packability. For me, reducing everything to a 55L pack for extended trip from 75L made as much difference as the weight since it is more centered on the back and you have better centre of gravity in rough terrain.
*_we as a family hike togther with my toddler thank fully he enjoys.he started hiking when he was 3 and now he is 4.5I record our family hikes so that we cherish those moments late in our lives and also to help out ppl looking for hikes in Canada_*
I'm in Texas, love camping when I can, especially during coldI seasons! Solo is the best to go,u can hear everything around you and your thoughts. Love your vedios 😎👍 Never boring! Gracias!!!
Your video came up in my recommandations. Glad I clicked on it. Its great to see young people enjoying the outdoors and into bushcrafting. I have a young niece that loves camping so I'm going to show her your channel.
Hi Becky I’ve just come across your channel. I live near the Surrey hills & have spent much of life exploring them & visiting as much as I can. Excellent stuff you are out there taking it in. Something we should all do more often. All the best Andy
Just finished watching this while sitting in the hidden woodsman bush chair on a mini outing. This i think will be a trip that you will grow from. Its not what gear you use its what you can carry and be comfortable and enjoy the woods. For anyone that's says different tell them to hike thier hike. You back your pack. Can't wait ti.see your next video cheers Becky your are becoming a WOODSMAN (woodswoman
You’ve got a lot courage doing what you do alone, but heh it’s probably the best way ...I much prefer solo stuff as well . Hope my granddaughter has the same outlook and attitude towards the great out doors and does this sort of thing when she is ready.....well done lass and keep enjoying it all.
Your videos always make me smile, such an easy watch. it's a pleasure watching you grow in confidence in Front of the camera, it really feels like it's a one to one conversation.
Awesome vid Becky!! 20kilo is to 44 lbs that’s a lot of weight!!! On my first backpacking trip I was around that weight!!! Keep it up !!! I know its heavy , the weight is worth having the comfort !!!
Thank you for sharing your video. I loved your tent, mine is a bit heavy to carry on long walks due to the small pipes from the sides. I am taking notes of the brands you use. Those companies should be your sponsors since you are using their products in your videos :) Muchas gracias amiga! Saludos! Brian
Cracking video Becky your carrying a canny weigh nice to see different types of camping on bushcraft channels I'm planning a trip with my nephew for next month in the lakes atvb Jimmy 😎😎
Great video Becky , always so inspiring , beautiful scenery , good pick for the tent , thanks fro sharing peace an bless the whole family as well .craig
I'm currently gearing up for a week long hike with camping. Was looking at bivi videos and found you somehow. You're brave for doing this on your own. Hope to see you about some time.
Hey Becky, Love the video, very Beautiful country where your at. I love the scenery. I really enjoy your overnight camp vid's. - to you, Health and Happiness
Hello Becky, a few months ago I had ever found your channel. I liked this post so much that I left a subscription now. My gear is mixed too and not all is ultralight. I'm more a Bushcrafter than a Ultralighthiker. Greetings from Lower Saxony, Germany !
A wee tip for you,try not to pitch your tent under trees why you may ask well when and if the rain stops the drips will go on long after the rain has stop...take care stay safe.
Appriciate Becky speaking slowly, for english is not my first language. Besides, deep thinkers, speak slowly. It is obvious she is genuine and honest, she didnt rehearse what she is about to say. Authentic and real. Like her choice of gear, but i dont understand her choice of food. Perhaps she is on a diet. I hope she is safe. She is all alone, on a long trek. Wish she would hike with someone, or at least a strong breed dog.
Hi Beckey excellent video and beautiful scenery the cows were frinly I think one called your name haha love the country side nice and green thanks for sharing 🌹🍀🌿🍀🌞🐦🐿️regards hugs 😏
The bigger the Bergen the more you naturally carry and want to carry. I use a 45lt Bergen that usually weighs 20lbs tops not including water, you never need as many clothes as you think.
I have three daughters , two are girly girls and my youngest is different very very different , she solo camps , goes out alone shes 8 stone with a wet backpack she learnt some kickboxing moves from her mom , she has no fears of anything , which is a bit worrying as she is a blueprint of my younger self , if iv ended up busted and bruised its been through bad climbing choices , im off on a few months camping kayaking trip soon , all the best , ( dont camp under trees in strong winds )
My dad always said ( he who travels alone travels fastest ) ! Your certainly a very brave and focused girl ! Them woods are spooky in the pitch black ! I would have the heebee jeebees all night on my own ! And I'm a bloke !! Lol 👍
I like your thoughts on kit, I plan to use a twig burner next time for me so you don't even need the alcohol. personally i do like the old military ground sheet capes as my luxury extra. Another thing I sometimes do if I have an open fire, is look for a large flat stone, set the fire next to the stone and actually place my pots on the stone to cook, the conducted heat makes for very fast cooking and pots stay a lot cleaner. Too often people are showing off their cooking on these videos, but much better to take anything that can be eaten cold, make life easy not hard. Why live like a caveman when there are excellent packets about.
What an awesome young woman. If my girls (6 and 9) grow up to be half as brave and resourceful as you, I'll be an even prouder and happy Dad. Great filming and editing too. Keep up the good work.

You do a wonderful job of filming and editing. Thanks for posting!
I admire you so much for doing this. This is exactly what I want to do this spring. On my own away from the chaos. Thank you for sharing!
Brave girl. I'm 38, a guy, and I find it hard to camp all by myself (mostly because here, in Romania, we have lots of bears). You are inspiring. Keep up the good work. :)
Thank you so much! Romania is beautiful - really missing it there!
wow, yer i wouldn't be a fan of camping out with bears ethier
How about bear spray for self defense ?
@@sunnymas2656 I'm thinking about buying one. Just for the peace of mind.
@@agatho00 Very good idea.

I love the rain. Sometimes I go camping because it's going to rain hard. But I have a J30
4 days out on your own is an achievement and 4 days rations is quite a haul, well done in carrying that lot around!
Great 1st vid! Ive been an outdoorsman for a long time in Hawaii and going solo IS crazy! YOU GIRL got what it takes!! Safe travels, keep up what you're doing, Look after yourself, your gear, and keep us posted! Looking forward to your success!

It's good to see a young lady doing both pursuits, wild camping and hiking and that I'm not alone. Who needs campsites.😀
Hi. Enjoyed your video. I have down sized over the years. Now I enjoy trips just like yours, peace and quiet bushcraft style.
Look after those hands of your, Becky. One slip of the saw, axe or knife could set you back a few trips. Use a pair of light work gloves to protect them. Better safe than sorry. All the best in your rambles.
20kg, omg, that's heavy! :) thanks for sharing!
Many girls really struggle with a backpack this heavy. Becky for all her concern seems to be very comfortable with her's strapped on (so comfortable she actually leaves it on during breaks in the second video).
VRWarehouse its 4 stone, which isnt that heavy. The trick is to get the weight on your hips, (good bags do this) not on your shoulders or lower back.
Lovely intro music and cinematic shots Becky, Looking forward to part two
Splendid video and still good today...(I'm from the future). You are brave and pretty darn cool. Happy camping, Girl Outdoors.
Brave young lady!!! Wonderful to watch, glad I came across your channel, thanks for sharing!
Lovely first day hike Becky. I have to say I love your music choices on your videos. Nice wee collapsible hiking pole.
I'm glad you made it passed the cow's, lol. Beautiful cenery.
