For cleaning the stove pipes while out camping, It works quite well to use some paracord or other cordage to tie a stainless steel pot scrubber to a stick to enable you to reach all the way through the length of each stove pipe length. You can "scrub" the creosote and carbon buildup by running the stick mounted scrubber up and down the pipe. Enjoyed watching the video.
Nahh forget that , take stove out of tent , attach 2 or 3 sections of pipe m and burn a supper hot burn in the stove and burn off the soot , then do it again for the rest of the pipes that need it, should only take 30 min or so
@@danielc.1169 If you think it through, my method of scrubbing the pipes takes less work and time, especially if the "scrubber" is already made before you start. You don't need to move the stove. It should only take about 15 minutes. to take the pipes off, clean them and reassemble. I have been winter hot tent camping for somewhere around 20 years and have learned what works well for me.
Cuz u own the woods duntcha Crazy, and u r the King of all Humans to tell them what to do; and tbh the guy u disrespected wasn't disrespecting you, he was giving some good advice. U idiot.
What a beautiful video on camping while the world is in chaos. Thank you for reminding me of my long ago youth. Stay safe and healthy and away from the funky flu.
The thing that is amasing to me , is that 2 Young girls has find Nature and camping a hobby ! ..fishing and hunting , backpaking in the Wild Will be THE next step 👍❤
Hi Becks & Lou. You two lasses manage to look better after a night under canvas in the woods than many I know with all their 'products' in their nice warm houses ! You's look like you're lovin' it. Spring is in the air, now if only this virus would do one, we can all enjoy the great outdoors again. Stay safe & well you two xx
Both you and Louise know how to survive in the forest and that is great and you all have a perfect tool ( the Ax) for processing wood to keep you all warm in the cold weather. One way to keep your pipes from getting stopped up is to only use hard wood to burn your fire as it don't leave as much resin in the pipes. Only use soft wood like pine to start a fire and then use the pine which has aged laying on the ground or was underground (root area).
Great Bell tent setup with almost all the comforts of home. Have decided not to wear hats anymore? Outstanding video. Stay safe and warm. Have a super wonderful day.
Good tune at the beginning great video thank you very much and shows off a beautiful spot. Glorious forest. Spring unfurling itself around you. Great attitude and common sense being spoken. Take care.
Becky I enjoy every video you post please be careful with this virus going around you mean more to me than this one of these videos you and your dad have showed every one how to do everything about camping
I’ve bitten my tongue long enough!! You’re on lockdown and so should these guys be!! Good video but what on Earth makes them think that lockdown doesn’t apply to them?
Watching you from New York and just subscribed to you channel.I always watch it when I see your videos up and just went the next step.Love you actually showing things that you are doing and not just one item. You and your sister have fun and go stay safe.Actually you are safer where you are at.🙏😊👍
To water proof ur tent you need to hose ur tent before leaving home...3 times and let it dry inbetween each hose down. Then when you go camping its water proof.
Great seeing you again, Becks! Us here in my part of the world are in a "stay at home" order. It's really crazy nowadays and it does my heart well seeing yall enjoying yourselves! Blessings from myself to you and yours friend and remember, Always Onward!
Hello My Dear Friend Becky and her sister Lu (Weezie :) It is wonderful to catch up with you and seeing you doing well :)) I caught the creeping crud and have spent the last 10 days trying to tempt this horse that is standing on my chest to go to pasture! LOL...Finally the horse left and was replaced by a sheep...I like lamb chops so we know where THAT is heading :D I am on the mend, isolated, taking 4000 units of Vit D per day and 4000mg of Vit C or more per day. I refuse to go to hospital since I may catch something worse and I have faith and know that I am getting stronger. You women ROCK...don't ever believe any less. Give One Another Hugs from me and KNOW that I love you both as well as your family :) Love from the Smokies here in Tennessee :)
Good video. @16:00 you can get a small brush to clean your stove pipes. You could store it in a section. I have a 10x8x7 lightweight canvas tent. I have a wood stove though I have not rigged it up yet. I would much like to get a winter frost liner, a retro fitted stovepipe flap both for the snowy cold winters here along with a couple of screened windows or top vents for hot humid mosquito filled summertime. Really nice tent there Miss Becky. Best
I ventured into the woods today and found someones old camp setup, little fireplace it as great, it looked like it had not been used for a while, i made some bacon baps & had a few cups of tea. With this horrible situation & endless depressing headlines i quite fancy staying there for a few days hell even a week or so! Jeeze at 11.24 into the video i thought there was some ghost behind you! Its your friend i take it but made me jump!
it's great beck, um yeah stay healthy we are in the same pandemic and don't go outside for while, whoever you are watching this videos i hope u be care:) God Bless u all
Hello, I've always wanted a saw like that and Very impressed seeing you get through the downed tree like that. Use clean plate shaped metal to reflect the light behind the candles, it's what they did with gas lanterns etc in the day :) you could even use a can, cut it one side and cut the bottom and top off, stick it behind and you're gravy :)
Wonderful to see you and Louise getting away from the hassles of the current situation, wish I could be there with you instead of working. Hope everything settles down soon so everybody can resume a normal life. Take care girls and stay safe.
Hi Becky, Hi Louise.:) You have a beautiful set up there. The Bell tent is great, lots of room, I like the short walls. From the outside it kinda looks like a little mini circus tent.XD. I have an idea for a quick and easy fire reflector, just 2 posts and a roll of tin foil. Nearly 60K, wtg. Cheers.:D
Becky, it doesn't matter what you do your pretty face your determination puts you so far above most beautiful young ladies in the world you are so awesome ❤from Texas
@Benaiah Ahmadinejad Benaiah, your comment was inappropriate. Also God doesn't exist. He's just an imaginary friend someone else told you to believe in.
How did you get your permission for a few months bell camping. I hope I'm not be presuming. But are you in England. Great channel so far just wish I could get a spot of land for awhile. Anyway all the very best for your project for you and sis. Much respect and Bless your endeavours. 🌞👍
yup …. the food is a pretty big part of inspiration. Mostly wondering what keeps on an extended stay. Also if you forage anything. Been so keyed in on how and what you're doing, never realized you're quite lovely. Hope you don't mind me saying. Absolutely, stay safe, looks like you chose a good lunar cycle, and looking fwd to the next Cheers from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, US.A. ~rad~
Heyy fan of your videos, great editing, and great reflection on one's self. I live in the City, in Chicago. You really make me want to pursue that life style more often. I just lost my job I held for 9 years. And watching ; your videos Inspires me to do what I once loved. And with the free time I have. I might just do that. P.s You just had this American boy, Develop a bit of a crush on you, as embarrassing as it sounds love lol but you're so sweet!. But yeah. You truely inspire. And Morivate. You're an amazing woman, a true Rarity. ❤❤😊😊
Hope the waterproofing goes well! Water can also run off the inside of the tent - condensation. If there's no opening high up, our breath will condense on the cooler tent at night and run down to the floor. But it sounds like you had a lot of water - probably not your problem. Would be interesting to see what native edibles there are in your area! Wild asparagus? Reeds and roots? Pot herbs? Around a body of water there are often interesting things.

Water can get in via the A frame if you don't have a rain cap on it. Mine split one time, so I used a elastic band wrapped round to create a water barrier which worked a treat.
I picked up a camping knife. 4" blade, full tang. Damascus steel handmade. What do you think, is this a good camping knife to start with? My 1st. Purchase. Thanks
Great to see you Becky and lou of course. The trees are beautiful here in Virginia also. They are purple, white, yellow, brown, red, green. I have some great pictures. Creosote is what we call the left over ash in flue pipe. Im glad you two are doing well. Stay safe have fun and i will see you next vid.
I’m very impressed by your axe and knife handling skills doing it for the women well done you doing a great job stay safe what I’d give for a wee place to go like that right now for a bit of serenity very jealous how’s the canvas tent thinking of purchasing one I heard you say it leaked I’m assuming it’s new and still needing worn in hope it’s not too cold
The burner is cool, smoke is a bitch though. Best is short dry and not to much. Once the balance of wood in, airflow through, enough heat out is achieved, it's quite a nice little stove. The smoke thing is an art though, enjoying lol.
Hi I'm also looking bell tent i need some info please what size is your bell tent and where did you get it in uk and for how much can you add link please kindly reply Thanks 😊

They are staying at home, they’ve just temporarily moved home to the woods. Seem to be doing a pretty good job of social distancing bushcraft style.
