She was the most passionate skater ever, and the strongest. A shame she wasn't valued. Now she found other paths to happiness. I'm gonna miss her on the ice, but wish her the best ❤

Quitting because she didn’t win doesn’t sound passionate at all. She messed up so many jumps I’m surprised she even got in the top 3

@@Amsterdamochka, if there is any justice in heaven after the first ice skating rink is completed it will be to have Sonja Henie perform one of her best and then the lights go out and one lone light points to an entrance and suddenly a girl in all red with red hair will enter and immediately do a cantilever right past Sonja and then upon standing back up at the far end of the rink she would do a quad combination of 4Lz + 3T so that Sonja could see and realize what she had begun had finally been perfected.
Alexandra Trusova would be the only woman to deserve to be on the ice before anyone else in heaven as far as I am concerned and the only woman allowed to be so close to see it at the best position ought to be Sonja Henie would I could agree to perform as well just before her.

@@Dxrkplatinum Oh c'mon. The fact that she actually landed 5 quads is crazy, and won't probably be replicated in women's free skate for a long, long time - if ever.
Whether the sport should be pushed to a different direction from the jumping is another debate, but you certainly can't take anything from her on what a crazy achievement she accomplished. Regardless of the color of her medal.

First of all, it's unlikely that any of the russian skaters will participate in ISU competitions because of the war. So, the title is very much misleading. For them, there will be primarily only national events. Recent published videos of Sasha show that she is in the training camp again. If she can restore her best skills, I would not exclude her competing nationally, otherwise we will see her in shows. I do not think she would want to compete if she is not able to get on the podium. By the way, she just turned 19 on the 23rd of June.

Without good quads she won't be able to compete much, and practicing quads invites injures, which she already have and probably don't want to experience again.

Well it’s not her choice, is it? As long as Russian athletes will continue to be banned by ISU in the coming season, no Russian skaters will be allowed to compete. Or did she announce her retirement? As far as I know I haven’t heard anything about whether or not she will complete in the next season.

Not when the sport is sponsored by the state! Figure skating in russia always was, is and will be political, these skaters are forced to say what the government wants! Russian tennis players are allowed in int competitions because they are not sponsored by the state and spoke publicly against the war!

They should be separated but Russia doesn’t. The country uses sports to promote their propaganda, they don’t mind drug their own athletes. It won’t be athletes choice to do doping, but for fairness, we can’t accept athletes who use drugs to win.

Other skaters are better than Trusova and Scherbakova? Who are the girls in the Russian National Figure Skating team🤔? Will they get paid a certain amount per month?? The ISU doesn't have money to pay skaters in ISU competitions? If skaters practice such an expensive sport and don't get prize money it is better not to go so far away to compete. They will spend more money than what they could earn in those championships. ISU should do competitions in a virtual way,at least they save money like that.
