I think Rhea Seehorn is probably one of the most underrated and overlooked actresses in Hollywood. Whenever she delivers a line you believe her, whenever she shows emotion on screen you feel it with her, and she has so much charisma that you want to like her. Yet she has never won any major awards and she has nothing lined up on her IMDb page. Travesty!
I'm positive she is going to be very busy in the years to come....she may be taking time with her fiance and family....but my guess is lots of deals in the works that have not him IMDB yet. Either way, huge accomplishment in the role of Kim.
I can actually feel anxiety taking over me as I'm watching this scene, and it's not the image on the left that gets me. It's Kim staring blankly at her glass, as if frozen. She probably just wants to simply time travel to the point where she finally knows what fate has befallen Jimmy, because getting to that point in time by natural means is excruciating (hence the Xanax).
I can't believe in the timeline for the show, Jimmy has this life altering and traumatizing experience in the desert, and then like 3 days later Kim convinces him to go after Howard. I would be like 'hey, I think im going to take a pretty long vacation. You have fun with that though"
Tbh that is part of the reason he goes with it. He is still shocked and will go with anything. Both Jimmy and Kim are distorted at this point of the show, Jimmy because of his recent near - death experience and Kim because she wants to unbottle all the years of repressed desires and her insatisfaction with life.
well he mostly went along with it because of kim. When he or kim has been through near death experiences before he often tries to do the right thing afterwards while kim tries to do what she thinks is fun.
Throughout the show we’ve always wrestled with two plotlines- the lawyer side and the cartel side, rarely interacting with each other. Saul’s dealing with Lalo and pilgrimage was the first time they seriously came together, which was what was so excellent about Bagman. It also means it set up the eventual climax of Fun and Games…
Wexler-McGill will forever be my favourite couple in TV show history ❤️ They are the literal definition of "partners in crime". It also took 6 seasons to hear they share "I love you" which kinda makes it more unique. Because their relationship was something more than those three words 🙌🏻
I think I've said it before. The choice of songs are amazing, and whoever was responsible for that deserves an award for it. This scene made me pretty emotional.
Kim was absolutely spot on when she broke up with Jimmy, they are awful for those around them. Most notably, Howard would not have been killed by Lalo but for Jimmy and Kims relationship. While we couldn’t anticipate it at first, Kim ultimately served as the biggest enabler of Jimmy McGill’s transition into Saul Goodman through their Bonnie & Clyde relationship.
@@thisguy976 If you haven't seen the most recent episode, I'm sorry that just got spoiled for you, but I recommend you stay up to date on the show before looking at comment sections.
If you think about it, if it weren't for Kim, Jimmy would have never done his Mesa Verde copy machine plan and Chuck would be alive, and him and Jimmy could maybe salvage a relationship.
Better Call Saul is indeed a love story. The first thing Jimmy does as soon as he receives a cell signal, does he call for help? Does he call someone who can come and pick them up? Nope, he calls Kim. That’s a love story for ya.
Random thoughts watching this. a) Rhea Seehorn is intensely beautiful. What a gorgeous women. Those eyes ! b) This would not happen with Starlink c) nice music, I recognize Lola Marsh "Something stupid" (I love that song).
This for me is one of the best scenes in the whole series. This is the first time we see Kim show any kind of emotion other than professionalism. Even when she's with Jimmy she has a certain kind of air about her.
What? She's happy when they rip off Ken, terrified when she falls asleep at the wheel, angry when Jimmy scams Mesa Verde, furious at Howard when Chuck dies, and heartbroken when Jimmy reads Chuck's final words to him. She's not anything like you describe.
Why break them up, when Kim waited for Jimmy to come back from the desert and in her mind she was very sure he was dead. Then they just break up because of what they did in the 6th and 7th episode. It's just sad the that the writers couldn't come up with something better to explain were Kim was during breaking bad.
Well, Kim was hopeful that he would return. Also I see that their breakup is fitting. It was inevitable due to how both of them act and the damage they cause which is shown especially in Ep609 when they gaslight Howard’s wife.
the explanation for why Kim isn't in Breaking Bad is perfect. She broke up not because she didn't love him. But because she found out the hard way that their love hurts everyone around them. Also, she was honest with herself about WHY she loved Jimmy. She loved the crookedness in him and didn't want him to change. She was enabling him. Just because a relationship has two people deeply love each other doesn't mean it's not toxic.
Saying they had been together this whole time during Breaking Bad would've been a huge copout. They executed their break up perfectly. Didnt have to give in to fanservice, unlike with the crappy flashbacks...
Man they shouldn't end this kim 's broke down scene too quickly .. it was so emotional .. if it goes 5 sec more i would cry too .. i am a man yh i would cry ..😢
I see theories on RUclips telling me that Jimmy would have lied to Kim about Howard’s death if she weren’t around to witness it. He is just too weak for her to lie like that.
This scene really proved that Saul is a cockroach, a survivor. He outlasted almost everyone in BCS and BB.
