I’m glad the reign got the praise they deserve, great versatile and comfortable liner, only difference I find between them and the intuition liner is your feet sweat more in the reign liner. Great video and great work thanks.
I really advise to go out and test the liners for yourselves as personally I skate Razor SL's with Crown liners and they're incredible. No pain after hours of skating, amazing for padding and jumping around in.
nice! just started getting pressure points with the reign V3s in my SLs after about a year of use. so now looking for a thicker liner to fill out the roomy shell. think i will give the crowns a go =)
@@lonerblader85 Just be aware that Crown liners are thick, so make sure your boot's shell size will accommodate them. If you're saying your shells feel roomy though it'll probably be perfect. I skate size 12-13 shells with 11-12 liner and i've got size 10 feet. The first pair of Crowns I got felt almost too thick but after 2-3 sessions of sweaty feet and the natural foot shape molding from body heat/sweat etc they were perfect.
I own all the new Reign Liners, V1, 2 and 3. They just keep getting better and better. I’d say the USD Basic 60 liner (not on video) is a great budget liner. About $40. Can’t beat it. But Reign is def my fav. I got 3 for under the price of 1 Intuition. Idk, what ever floats your boat! Cheers!
This is an incredible video that is very informative and helpful for upgrading the various shells with quality after market liners. It would be really cool if you guys did an update video to this one with some newer shells on the market that can accept liners. For example, comparing the new Them 909 Intuitions and FR Intuitions versus the Premium and V2s in the various shells also to further delineate the fit. Greatly enjoy your videos!
Hi what size boot do you wear? And what size liner did you get for your 5th elements? I currently ride a size US9 5th element boot and thought about getting an intuition liner but don’t know what size or which one to get.
Great video. I ride the Sway 3 and just got some Reign V3 HT. Super excited to see how they feel. Also changed the frames to Kaltik 60mm. I grew up in the age of skates not being all too customizable, pretty exciting to be swapping parts. I love the 60mm flat feel, it's like butter cruising around the plaza.
The Sway stock liner doesn’t get enough love. It’s shockingly comfortable for a stock, I used them on my SLs for a while. If it had laces I’d have stuck with it permanently.
When testing all these power slide liners in other skates, how about testing them in a powerslide next boot also? I just bought the next size up next skates from what I bought which was a next boot 10-12mm bigger than my measurement which should have been comfortable but were extremely tight. I didn't even think about how the myfit fat boy liner was so thick maybe another thinner liner would help. But at the end of the day sometimes you have to buy it and try it to really know for sure. I am not one to return things unless they are just defective out of the box so if I buy a skate or a liner and they feel good enough to skate on I would not return them after skating on them. Thanks for the video info still useful.
Got the SL DH2 with Reign liners... They fit really well but the top of the tongue hurts my legs when bending. The Intuition are really expensive, so I'll try the SPC which feel great when I tried the Aeon Lomax.
I have tried once a stock MyFit Fatboy (from a Next Skate) in my Aeons. The naming here is misleading, because that what the call Fatboy in the Next, does not look like the Fatboys in any other skates, but looks more like a Recall Liner. Anyhow, my verdict was, that the liner has a way to much heel movement and almost to non heel lock in the Aeons. works well in the Next, but pretty bad in any other skates.
mane it would be soo fkn nice to have a local skateshop insted of having to order everythin from rollerwarehouse i mean ive ad no problems at at all with RW but if i was getting a new skate it would be soo much nicer to try on different skates and find the best fit.
Thank goodness for this video, I just ordered my first pair of skates but I have to hope that the Roces stock liners work with my big and wide feet. Having a size 14W isn’t ideal for skating. It’s slim pickings for people like me smh 🤦🏾♂️
With my Salomon Skates I have tried lots of liners in them. The stock ones, for me, are just okay. Maybe it is because they are dated, but they just aren't my favorite. -I first replaced them with the Myfit Skinny that I pulled out of the Aeon80. I got the Second skin to replace the Skinny as it works much better in the Aeon, and just for fun I tried it in the Salomons and I wasn't a fan of the Second Skin in the Salomon. I rode them with the Myfit Skinny and really like them, after watching this video I am inspired to rotate liners again just for fun, and maybe I will do the Skinny again for a bit. -I then got some Intuition Liners. I really like them in the Salomons! They feel really nice and the comfort level for long periods of skating is just wonderful. The one thing I wasn't to fond of was how high the liner felt with the heel being raised as much as it is because of the fat SL shock absorber that replaced the aged Salo shock. This made Royals and Topsides a little harder. Removing the support wrap things helps a lot as I like to be able to bend and flex my ankles a bit. Now that I am better with the Salomons now and am squatting more, I wonder if this is still a problem, so I'll be trying them out again. But over all the Intuitions beat the Skinny for me. -I am currently riding the Roces 5th Element Liner in my Salomons and it feels amazing and fits perfectly! even the strap on the back of the liner matches the slits that are in the cuff that are designed for the liner loop thing. These have been my favorite over all to be honest! As The liners break in a lot more that actually don't feel as amazing as they did the first few sessions, but they are still amazing of course! -I haven't tried the Reign V2's in them yet or the Blank Liners that I also have. Hope this helps.
I've got some Aeon 60 shells on their way in a 7/8 shell size - only liners I have at the moment are some old Sifika liners from my old Deshi CH1 Vinny Mintons in a UK 9 (EU 43). Noticed it suggests an EU 42 for that shell size. Any idea if these will work? Got a feeling I'm gonna be buying some liners in the near future.
I'm confused why the crown liner didn't work the best with the sway? The reason I say that is cuz with the farmer pro Sways the crown liner comes as standard and it's a beautiful fit. I figured they were the shame shell?
Since the Crown and Recall liners wouldn't be a good fit for USD Sways, is there a liner out there that is a little bulkier in the upper cuff/ankle area that you would recommend? My liner has packed out and now I have a pressure point on the lower inside of my ankle and was thinking of getting a different liner. My foot bed feels okay but I do seem to have a lot of room up top and wanted to fill in the cuff area a little better.
I tried the Reign V3 in the Cults and got a really bad pressure point on my inner right ankle. Then bought the Intuition Premiums and really can't understand how anyone can like them Haha. It's back to the drawing board for me 🥴
Myfit prime bulletproof 😊 after heatmolding super comfy... Lots of dense padding around the ankles, very supportive, nice flex and responsive... Don't know if the sizing works with Cults though, gotta look it up 😅
I have an old pair of Salomon ST80's that I am considering getting a liner for. The old liners fell apart. The boot itself and wheel frames are still fine, but I have no idea what sort of liner might work in them. They are size 9.5. Anyone have any experience getting a new boot for a pair of Salomons or have any recommendations?
Hey guys would the small intuition v2 liner (Foot length: 25-26.5 cm Liner size: S Shell size: US 7/EU 40) be too small in a medium (US 9/10) THEM skate? I don’t have a place nearby where I can test this out. Thanks in advance!
@@Equallizerr1 Thanks! Yeah, in the 2 months since I posted this question I learned by trial and error. I’m all set now with a small intuition v2 liner in a small THEM skate. Thanks again! ☺️
The stock liners on Roces M12 are a disaster. The tongue has protruding seems that you can feel on the top of your toes. Intuitions are awesome and fix the problem.
Where I live, there are no skate shops where you can test a pair of aggressive skates, they just sell fitness and freestyle skates! I have big bones and almost all hard shell skates hurts my feet realy bad. If you want to practice aggressive skating here you have 2 options, buy second hand or order online pre-paid, and prey for them to fit on you, specially if you're on a budget because you need to pay the 60+% taxes the government fixed on anything you order from outside the country that's more than USD 200. The last pair of skates that I've bought were the Shift Grey, USD 480... Believe me, we don't earn that much money here, the minimum wage here is under that, so there are almost no aggressive skaters at all, not even mention young girls and guys or kids that won't have a work to earn money... We just have a lot of skateboarders who hate waxed parks, considering there's only concrete parks here.
Mehdi Guebli US10 in the reign liner is a EU43 and a US 10.5 Fifth is a EU 44. Downsizing usually refers to putting a larger liner in a smaller shell to try and get a little MORE room. If you are trying to get a SMALLER fit then the myfit Crown liner might be your best bet.
I have thin feet so I rock some crown liners to fill up space . For what I know the stock Fatboys are a little bit thicker than the intuitions .If you're comfortable with them or feel like they are a little too much, the intuitions should work .
triforcenou You can use a normal shoe in them as long as it’s quite thin (like a plimsole). ...or have a look around online for old Xsjado footwraps. A few shops have left over stock which will be super cheap.
SPC sucks indeed 😂 Prime is good, don't like the tounge in the normal ones though... Love the bulletproof version, comes in different sizing 😅😅 but 42-43 fits into 41-42 shells...
