    I tried the suggestion in the first video but it didn't help. I then followed the steps in this video and it solved the issue. The steps in this video activated the "accessory mode" function and my lights stopped flashing. Thanks soo much for posting this information. Otherwise, I was gonna have to take off work and spend money to get this issue fixed. 😊👍🏾

    It's an electrical issue that should be RECALLED by Honda and fixed. I called their tech service numbers and they politely bowed out saying it was out of warranty and I would be responsible for the fix. BS! this is a recall item plain and simple they just don't want to stand by their customers or PRODUCTS! Due to this issue none of my nice features work; like Cruise control or auto headlights so I WASTED MY MONEY on getting these items. I will also slam a big fat LAW SUIT ON HONDA if one of us is injured due to this lack of caring about their Customers. This is a recall item I can't say or stress that enough and Honda is showing us all how much they care about those who support their products. So, do we have to start getting hurt or killed because of their NEGLIGENCE AND SLOPPY WORK. Companies that make millions no billions on our backs need to hear us all say we are going to never do business with them AGAIN!!

    The first 2 Minute Tutorial we did on this is blowing up! But a bunch of you guys are saying it didn't work cause you didn't have the battery go dead. No problem. The first video is for the dead battery, this video is the second thing to try before you have to bite the bullet and take it to the dealership. Master reset instructions and should get you back on the road! Thanks for watching!

    Had a similar problem on my 2017 civic 1.5 turbo. Cruise not working, brake assist, lane mitigation etc.
    Turned out to be faulty brake pedal switch had diagnostic done by friend and confirmed by dealer luckily I had 3 months left on warranty so replacement part was covered. Hope this info is useful to anyone else pulling their hair out with this problem.

    You’re lucky if these videos fix the light issue. My 2018 CRV had the same light problem. Turned out to be fuel injectors. I was going to sell the car but Service Manager spoke to Honda Corporate and they wound up picking up 90% of the cost. In my case Honda backed their product.

    • @MotorsandMischief

      The videos are for specific instances and unfortunately that's not going to cover every situation. In your case, sounds like there was a legit problem and not just a malfunction like others are experiencing (and what the vids were done for). Outstanding that Honda stepped up for you. Thanks for the comment!

      I had the same thing. Replaced my battery $200 then came back and they said it was a fuel pump module, luckily I had got the extra coverage and it was covered. Would have cost me about $2,300.

    This is the second time this has happened to me. The first time, I hit the brake and the lights stopped flashing. This time, when I hit the brake, nothing happened. I used your second technique and it worked. Thanks for posting this tutorial. It saved alot of grief!!

    Thanks Jake. The first video didn't work for me, probably because there was nothing going on with the battery. The car just started beeping at me and flashing every message in the book while I was driving along just fine. The master reset cleared it. Thanks again. It would be nice to know what gremlin caused this anyway.

    Thanks for the resolutions. Unfortunately both remedies didnt work for me. However I was able to resolve my issue in my own. For some reason, my power brake light was flashing when I turned my CRV off. I turned my CRV off, pressed the parking brake ON and OFF. I restarted my CRV and WA LA!! All warnings lights went off. Hope this helps someone if the 2 remedies OP provided didn’t work.

    For my 2017 CRV, I tried the full reboot video first (after re-soldering a small wire found chewed under the hood) and that didn't work. For me, the first video did the trick: Drove it around the block, tapping the brake several times - DONE! No more stinking blinking warning lights. I see most people get this after a dead/changed battery. Mine seemed to be a partial power loss because the car still started, with no apparent power issues. I didn't even look for videos until after my soldering job was done and still got the freakin' blinkin'. Thanks much for your easy fix! I was dreading that green mile to the dealership.

    A 3rd option (if the other two don't work) is to disconnect the battery (negative then positive), wait 30 seconds then reconnect the battery (positive then negative) and start the car. The warning lights will come on still. Drive for a block or two then they will disappear. This just worked for me after none of the other stuff did.

    Thank you so much for this! We suddenly had every error light come on, and the car misbehaved badly on the way home, and yes, we were really worried. It's so simple but true, push the ignition button once and then hold down the radio dial, and the reboot process will begin (I think this was made possible by my local WiFi). It took a few minutes, and a short drive helped everything everything settle back to normal. The Honda Dealership said to keep it going that way, but bring it in for a test if anything else happens. So far, so good . . .

    I’ll have to take mine back to the shop. Last time it was taken in and I told the mechanic at Honda about the issue, he stated the computer TPMS just needs to be clicked to calibrate 3x and the warning signs would come off but it didn’t work. Honda should look into doing a recall.

      Update: got my vehicle’s oil changed and was told that there is nothing more that can be done unless I get a brand new battery but the battery I have is good. However, there was a mail sent to me indicating a recall on it for the air bag so I am not sure if that could be the direct cause of it.

    I have had this blinking light fiasco to happen to me at least 7 or 8 times in the last 2 years with my 2019 Honda CR-V. I was about ready to push it in the river because it would just do it randomly with no warning. Sometimes it would allow me to drive it while blinking but this last time it happened it would not allow me to move the car at all. It was as if the emergency brake was on but it was not. In the past, I was stuck in parking lots, at intersections, or even my own garage. I called tow service at first and then my brother in law would disconnect my battery and reconnect it and it would then clear up once I drove a half block. Who has time for that??? The pint is I want to thank you for sharing this part 2 video because you figured out what no mechanic, dealership, or anyone else could figure out. I was just ready to get rid of this car and never ever buy a Honda again. This is something I can do as a woman without getting under the hood or waiting on a tow truck or my brother in law. Thank you for this!!!! I am still unhappy with Honda for this glitch they fail to warn us of. You are a genius that saved me hours of waiting on tow trucks or help. You also saved me money by not having to take it to the shop for them to tell me it is fine or pay for tows. I also appreciate the fact you didn’t drag the solution out in a loooonnngggg video.

    Hi I’m having this problem as well last time it happened was a year ago especially when I was trying to push the gas the Honda was acting like I was trying to drive on neutral mode but all the lights where on too so I freaked out then my husband turned off the engine and it drove fine with no lights on anymore.. but these past months it’s been coming on and off with no driving issues for a good period of months.. well today I was trying to drive off slowly and the car seemed like it was sputtering and I turned it off and so far so good but all my lights are still on including the engine light.. but it’s driving fine again UGH!!!!! I’m scared it’s going to get to the point where my breaks don’t work and I hit something or someone!! I wish there’s a way to sue honda if this occurs!!

    2017 CRV is crap. Just out of warranty had to replace entire A/C unit, new tires after 30k miles and this annoying sensor problem which needs the $1700 fix because Honda messed up. There should be a recall on the faulty A/C units and the fuel problem. I will never buy a Honda again!

      Thanks so much, Jake, for mentioning this. My CRV Touring has been flashing warning lights for almost a year. They flash for a few days (didn't know the reboot trick till watching this video, Thanks, M&M), stop for a week or two and then started up again. It's driving the mechanics (and me) mad. The car's in for the third diagnostic and they've called saying the fuel injectors have probably failed. I was skeptical. So glad to find your post.

    I'm glad you did this (and the first) video and are helping people. The rest of this comment is a rant about the real reason we have this crap to deal with. Ah yes.. Thank you Bill Gates. I'm surprised you didn't just push Control-Alt-Delete at the same time to solve the car's problems. Although that is exactly what you did. It was just Honda's version. The real problem is that Honda didn't spend the time to troubleshoot their computer software. So the computer couldn't figure it out, although it did in the first video, lightweight kudos to Honda on that one. So what do we do when the computer can't figure it out? We kill it! Luckily these overly simplistic computers can be set back to a known state that works most of the time. But as the systems get more complex these types of fixes will become less and less effective. Also, if you happen to duplicate the sequence that caused the problem in the first place, its back to good old CNTRL-ALT-DEL. How irritating! 😑

    • @MotorsandMischief
      @MotorsandMischief  2 года назад +1

      You might have an actual issue then that the vehicle is trying to tell you about. Since your check engine light is on, the best thing to do is scan your codes. If you don't have a scanner, you can borrow one for free from any auto parts store. Or you can buy your own adaptor that works with your smart phone and then you'll always have it (and it can reset the oil light if you do your own oil changes, that sort of thing). Let us know what you find and thanks for commenting!

    • @MotorsandMischief
      @MotorsandMischief  5 месяцев назад +1

      Super good, and super tough question Alex. Sometimes its a low voltage issue due to dead, dying, or just ran down battery. Other times its like a pc and needs a reset. Unfortunately if it keeps coming back the next step is a diagnostic. If you take it to Honda and get an answer, let the community know what they say. Might help others. Thanks!

      Thats super common with these Honda's when changing batteries. Shops should really warn owners about this. First, follow the easier part one video, and if that doesnt work, go to the bigger reset in part two. That should reset your system and fix the problem. Let us know how it goes!

      If neither of those work its most likely going to need to see a mechanic who can run a scan tool on it and tell you what the computer is upset about. There are LOTS of folks in the comments here who have followed up with what the dealership found and its everything from charging issues to battery problems. Thanks for commenting.

    I have to point out how good my Toyota Tundra is as I have had it for 13 years with no issues what so ever. That is the excellence that we have come to expect and enjoy about the Japan made autos. Honda has slipped into not giving the effort or care of making a bullet proof product like Toyota has every day I go out and get into that Tundra I am happy I bought it not regretful as with my 2017 Honda CR-V. It seems like a simple fix to me just buy Toyotas from now on or Mazdas, Honda is off the list for-ever if they don't anti-up and fix this re-call issue. It doesn't look like they will do that but we can only hope. We have to remember auto makers who don't take care of us and never do business with them again as this our only recourse as customers when a business no longer takes care of us.

    This worked for me! 🎉 But my question now is…..how can I be sure that my dash will appropriately alert me to any REAL issues with my vehicle? Is there an actual issue that is causing all of these lights to come on? Or is it just a simple software/computer error?

    • @MotorsandMischief
      @MotorsandMischief  Год назад +2

      Yay! As to your question, based on our own research and a LOT of feedback on this video, it appears if the reset clears everything, then its just a software glitch and your vehicle is fine. If the lights come back within a short time (or immediately), then its some other issue and needs further diagnosis with a scan tool. Thanks so much for the comment!

    We have a 2017 CR-V Touring and this has been happening for the last 7-8 months and I have tried all of these fixes to no success. I can't believe Honda has went to crap. They won't even admit this is a factory issue and should be fixed by them. I didn't have it happen for 5 years but I didn't pay for the best model they have in this auto type to have it be broken in just 5 years and have to spend my hard earned money to fix a recall issue! This will be the last Honda I ever waste any money on and I will cheerfully voice my dissatisfaction with Honda every chance I get.
