Fry beef with onion, garlic & mushrooms & drain when done. Return to skillet & add onion soup mix, soup & gravy. Cover & gently simmer about 1 hr. It is amazing over rice, pasta, mashed potatoes, biscuits, and even toast. The best I have ever eaten, flavor over-load...=)

@@catholicfaithofmine2664 I’m not projecting fear on anyone. I’m stating the obvious! It’s not safe to have clutter and bags of marshmallows next to a hot pan or on a hot stove element. Plus the level of clutter takes away ability to move around easily. These hazards can cause an accident and someone to get burned as well. I guess by using logical safety rules I am projecting fear. Btw, I have been through a house fire due to faulty wiring. I don’t wish that on anyone.

She made a similar dish called Chipped Beef on Toast with Armor sliced dried beef from a little jar. She would rinse the salt off the dried beef before making the recipe. And then we would keep the little glass jars and use them for breakfast juice, etc.!

Salt and pepper to taste, then serve over white sandwich bread. So darn good! Thanks Sara.

Miss Sara, doesn’t the cup of water at the end wash the initial flavors out? It looks so delicious! Thank you for the video-stay warm.

She used a really thick milk. I bet it would be soooooo rich without that water cutting some of it. Plus, some of that will evaporate out. I always make mine just a little thinner to account for that.

My mom made a version of this. She put diced celery and onion in it. Added a bit of Lawreys salt, garlic power, pepper. And some times added sliced mushrooms. And made mashed potatoes and corn. And rolls.

My mom use to make pan gravy using Lebanon Bologna chopped up in bite size pieces and started with browning the Bologna in butter until slightly crisp them did finished it off by making the gravy. It had a good smoky flavor. We enjoyed it over toast.
