Coming in late, but the videos on this model have been great. Picked up this model for Christmas based on your recommendation and this setup video was a nice touch.
Thank you for the video! I've just purchased this same router to use for acrylic pieces and I find your videos helpful. You mentioned a video on different router bits and their uses, is it made.. I can't find it?
I haven't yet. It's on my "to do" list though! I'll try to bump it to the top of the list for you, but It will still be a while before I get it done and posted. Glad you found this video useful! Thanks for watching!
Tricky bastards! All you do is, without removing the 1/2in collet and nut, simply plop the 1/4in in like a bit! Seriously. I actually worked to remove the 1/2in over an hour. Succeeded, but the 1/4in went in like a bb in a boxcar. Put it all back together and just on a whim, plopped mine in, added a 1/4in bit and it seizes them both in place.
My inserts will not go completely in. The tabs on the inserts have no way to catch as the router mounting plate on the router itself allows no room. Did you have the same problem?

Just picked this model up. Thanks for the info.
Wish you had talked specifically about setting the depth and aligning the fence, that is the tricky part

How do you install the 1/4 inch collet.

I love this router, but have you ever had to trouble shoot it if the crank won't lower or raise? Thanks :)
make sure you released the clamp on the router.
Hi Ric. Same issue here with the clamp open. I'm having to lift the router by hand while cranking. Any suggestions?
Hi could you tell me what i need to do to make my router to go up and down like you just did i can't seem to get it to do that
Theres a black Phillips screw you just have to loosen up a bit for the router to raise up and down
twistedcells thank you for this ... I have spent 2 days trying to figure out how to raise and lower
Sorry twisted, where is the screw you've mentioned?

Which inserts? The round bit clearance inserts? I really have to force mine in.
Where was this setup found for $100 ? Lowest I’ve seen is $169.
I need to cut a 3/4 rabbit to fit 3/4 board in the edge of the other board what kind of bit do I need
I use a dado bit.
My router burnt up after about a couple of hours
i'd probably try and return it,i bet they would give you another....
Johnny Mensi 5 years warranty, don’t try to cut too much in each run.
