FULL RECIPE: With 1 ingredient and just a little bit of patience, you can make your own nut butter with the perfect consistency at home!! Of course you can also swap it out for peanuts, almonds or any nuts instead (this was my first time using pistachios to make nut butter). Ingredients: 3-4 cups pistachios (or sub for another nut of choice, the exact same method applies!) Method: 1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C. Spread the pistachios out onto a lined baking tray and bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden. 2. Transfer into a blender or processor and blitz until it becomes a fine meal. Use a spoon to scrape down the sides as needed and then continue the process until the nuts release their natural oils. It should eventually become a smooth and runny paste. This can take anywhere between 10-30 minutes depending on your appliance. 3. Transfer into a clean airtight jar. Enjoy on toast, in desserts or by the spoonful.
Is that 750g-1kg? I ask because often there are different amounts of grams per cup on different recipes online, also if you don't mind sharing where you got your pistachios from? Any particular favourite brand/source please?
