5 Hours in Colorado Springs. Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods

On our first trip ever to Colorado, we met up with our friends from Kansas for a long weekend in Southern Colorado. In this video we spent our first 5 hours in Colorado Springs visiting two iconic places.
Pikes Peak is one of Colorado's 14ers rising into the sky at 14,115 feet above sea level. It is a 19 miles road trip to the top. Take your time as there is plenty to see on the way up, and the roads are a bit sketchy as many of the curves lack guard rails. This is a must do when visiting.
Garden of the Gods is another must do. A beautiful drive thru towering rock formations. It was busy while we were there so we only were able to get out and walk around in one area, which was balancing rock. Do not miss this when visiting Colorado Springs.
