  • I shot this video after visiting the Fort Worth firefighter and police Memorial for honoring 9/11 so I was near 7th Street crossing so I figured to try to catch a train I was hoping to film The Grapevine vintage Railroad but instead I give you my first close up video of the Fort Worth & Western Railroad note that the crossing Bells at 7th Street look like Western Cullen Hayes Bells but in reality these are actually manufactured by General Electric and they are as rare as a Safetran type 1 eBell. One slight difference between a GE/Harmon Bell and WC Hayes bell is that the WC Hayes bell has 4 stands while the GE bell has only 2 stands. 7th Street crossing and the newer Museum Way Crossing further down have GE electronic Bells. I hope to capture trains at the Museum Way Crossing in future videos that crossing has another GE/Harmon ebell as well and a General signals type 2 ebell.

For those wondering, one of the GE e bells at this crossing was replaced by a general signals e bell sometime after this was recorded. Only just one of the two, though. The other is still there today.

Nicholas Merrigan you're kidding can't believe that happened what about the GE Bell at the nearby Crossing at the apartment complex that Crossing is guarded by a general signals Bell and a general electric bell from what I heard

Well, from what I've seen on street view, the GE e bell at the Museum Way crossing is still there as of February 2017.

I hate to admit it but my video is now a memory as sadly most of the GE bells at 7th Street crossing have been replaced with General signals Bells something must have happened that caused them to break so I am sad to say I am surely going to miss the General Electric e Bells of 7th Street crossing

Before the early 2000s, 7th Street Crossing was protected by two 4 lane Griswold CO cantilever crossing signels

piktureit I'm not sure but I do know they're very distinct and their own way at first glance they look like a western-cullen-hayes bell until someone told me they're actually made by General Electric which is very rare in my opinion somewhere Crossings have g e Bells Are RUclips user made a playlist about it with my video included if you want to check that out
