Great content as always, Harry! I’m short - 5’5” - and I’d have to say that, no, height doesn’t matter a lick. Confidence is key and it goes a long way when it comes to fashion/style.
@@maTIas-yt6os Basically, the metric system came out fairly recently in comparison to the imperial system we already use. It came out in 1799. We just never really bothered to switch over, meanwhile most of Europe did during the French revolution since current measurements they all used (which all varied country to country) were impractical for trade. Then in the U.S. we don't really like to change for the sake of fitting in, haha.
height does matter tho, extremely oversized clothes looks real good on tall people. i'm 5'9 ( 1m75 ) so not that tall, but i loike to weare real big clothes, like sized for 6'0 guys, looked bad so i cut my crewneck to a more "crop top" shape, making my legs looks longer, and started wearing some big ass boots with like 3inch sole, and the whole fit looks 10x better. Height does make some styles easier to style, and some other less easier, u just have to not ignore ur height and to try adapting to these styles
Although I am by no means short (6’2), I heard something a while back regarding advice for shorter guys. Take inspiration from womenswear. Women are on average shorter in height than men, however they still put together stylish outfits by focusing on fit and proportions. Im not saying you have to wear a dress, but I think all men could benefit from broadening their fashion perspective. Hope this helps!
Women clothes are cut differently, it can work great on certain male frames. Jackets are shorter I think woman have longer arms and legs and shorter torsos. Unisex clothing is a real possibility. Beware of women pants: they have very small pockets. Also sizes are not the same, if you are 30 men's size probably a 30 women's won't work.
Some items might work (women boxy jackets could fit well on men) but in general it sounds hard. Women pants shapes are tight in hips but wider on thighs and bottoms, while men’s are vice versa.
Thanks for your advice :) I'm 5'3 and my torso is shorter. Every time I bought tops or jackets it would look too big on me and it made me insecure. Fortunately, I have found sewing to be a valuable skill and shortened some of my tops. This made a HUGE difference! The new jacket that I bought made me look like a child xD But after shortening it, it looked perfect on me! I felt much more confident then. I also realised shortening my shirts made me look taller/the proportions felt finally right (You mentioned the 1/3 and 2/3 rule in another video and it's showing).
Great advice as always. Fit is King! Height does matter to an extent but being lean and in shape even more so. Clothes tend to look better when you're in somewhat decent shape, broad shoulders and chest tapering down to a small waist. Heck, your chest doesn't have to be broad, as long as it's at least 7-8 inches broader than your waist.
Only thing that really matters when it comes to clothing/styles is body type. Formal fitting clothing/outfits look better on athletic/muscular guys and streetwear /high fashion outfits look better on slimmer guys. Height being irrelevant for both styles.
7-8 inches of difference is a lot of difference, this person would definitly have broad shoulder/chest. My chest and hips have almost the same measurement.

Shorter guys should wear shoes that are the same tone as their pants (or your legs if you're wearing shorts). If there's too much contrast, like wearing white sneakers with dark jeans, or black shoes when your legs are light skinned, it draws your eye downward and cuts you off at the ankle, making you appear shorter. Yes, I realize lots of guys wear white sneakers with dark jeans, but sorry--only the taller guys look good doing this. Also, don't wear bold shoes or shoes with contrasting soles if you're short. The whole goal is to draw the eye upward as much as possible if you're under 5'10".
In my opinion if you can make a professional best quality suit with Rs. 3000 /- INR, in India and one middle class family can able to wear in his marriage or any type of functions and festivals, fulfill his King type small small dreams and wishes , Then only it will call Real Men Real Style. Any Idea you can fill this gap. Cheers !Thank you.
Yes height matters if the tailor is not your friend.Look at all these brands, they are not making clothes with short people in mind.Yes if u are short, you are in trouble in many different ways, not just style alone.
being short is like being ugly u are disadvantage, but u should not exagerate how badly u are disadvantaged because there are people worse off than u that are more sucessful than u, and people with more than u who are less sucessful than u.

Thank you mate
Thanks 👍
Thank you Harry
