This is hands down the best performance Alissa has on video that I have seen. Her knife switch change from growl to clean is amazing . Plus this video is very well shot and edited.
Listen to Arch Enemy's "Avalanche" on the choruses and "You Will Know My Name" just on the break after the first chorus, very carefully. I think it's becoming a thing for both Alissa (and Angela in "Through the Eyes of a Raven" and "Under Black Flags We March", among other Khaos Legions tracks?) to secretly do clean harmonic singing and put it in the background. ;)

Steven Bellm she is still with Kamelot, she toured with Kamelot this year 2016 in Souh America and Europe but not all year, because of AE tour concerts, and she did three songs on Kamelot's new Album. came out 2015.Liar Liar, Revolution, and can't remember the 3rd. . Clean vocals and Dirty, growling too. she is staying in Kamelot just not all the time. The Kamelot vids are on youtube and doing great. she's Amazing and very active..lol
hopefully better song writing...I've always hated that Arch Enemy did those lighter choruses. Its not that I think bands can't do stuff like that, I just think they suck at moving from the heavier to lighter bits. Its always such a buzz kill when those lighter parts kick in.

To be honest, the occasional bit of clean vocals wouldn't necessarily be a terrible thing. Just a few lines in a bridge or as a backing part could add a new depth and contrast to AE's new album. What's the point in change, if nothing changes? I'm not saying the singing should be clean the whole time, quite the opposite, but a little bit of variety in might add a new dimension to AE.

To be honest, I didn't like that many female vocalists in the past. Something auditory wise just wasn't right. Alissa changed that for me though. I love her vocals and she competes easily with any metal vocalist Male or female. She's a gem

Alissa works better in metalcore than death metal, IMO. That is in no way an insult to her either. I hate to have to compare the Agonist to Arch Enemy but it seems unavoidable. I much prefer the instrumentals in AE to the Agonist, simply because everyone's incredible what they do, the guitars in particular are magnificent. I also prefer Angela as their vocalist, only because she has a more brutal, cutting voice that fits the genre. Alissa is still fucking awesome too, and while I feel that she's still a solid replacement for Angela, she doesn't quite fit with AE's style as much.

I think everyone has forgotten that the Alissa gives the Agonist a specific dynamic, but it's the rest of the band that makes it impeccable music and they are exceptionally talented...stand alone. They rest of the band could create a new project with a different vibe and thematic and would potentially be just as successful. I've heard progressions from several generations of metal in their music, often in the same piece and they've got it down to art/science...
I like the new "Arch Enemy" a lot and start getting used to the new "The Agonist", but in my opinion Angela was the heart of the old "Arch Enemy" and Alissa fits way better to "The Agonist". And Vicky is awesome aswell, but something just feels bad with her in the agonist. I don't know what it is, but it just doesn't catch me.

I've never been a huge fan of metal screams, but with that said, Alissa is an irreplaceable gift to music. One of my favourite musicians of all time.

I think everyone has forgotten that the Alissa gives the Agonist a specific dynamic, but it's the rest of the band that makes it impeccable music and they are exceptionally talented...stand alone. They rest of the band could create a new project with a different vibe and thematic and would potentially be just as successful. I've heard progressions from several generations of metal in their music, often in the same piece and they've got it down to art/science...

I like the new "Arch Enemy" a lot and start getting used to the new "The Agonist", but in my opinion Angela was the heart of the old "Arch Enemy" and Alissa fits way better to "The Agonist". And Vicky is awesome aswell, but something just feels bad with her in the agonist. I don't know what it is, but it just doesn't catch me.

@@DrVink86 Well tbh she is more grounded in AE. Her aura, lyrics and mental state all together was chaotic to say the least during the Agonist phase. I'm guessing her needs are fulfilled in AE compared to when she was i this band
